Mitchell kept glancing out the window but there was still no sign of Markus.

"Don't worry, he probably got sidetracked."

"Mom, he called two hours ago."

Markus had called earlier to tell him that he would be at his home around ten. It was after twelve in the afternoon.

"Do you think he's alright? Maybe I should call Kev."

He picked up his phone to dial Kev's number when he heard the sound of an engine. He looked out the window and saw Markus's car. Mitchell opened the door and ran outside.

"What happened? Are you alright?"

"I'm fine Mitchell. I had to stop by Kev's on my way here."

"Why didn't you call me?"

"My phone battery died."

Markus showed him feel phone. It was blank.

"Come on, let's go inside. My mom has lunch prepared for us."

Mitchell clasped his hand, leading him to the sofa. He sat down next to him, never taking his hand away from his.

"Would you like anything to drink?"

"Orange juice should be fine."

"Relax. I'll be right back."

Mitchell went into the kitchen where his mom was putting sandwiches on a tray. He went to the refrigerator to take out a bottle of orange juice. He grabbed an empty glass and placed them on a tray.

"I'll be right out with the sandwiches."

Mitchell went back into the living-room and rest the tray down on the table.

"I'll be spending the day with you."

Mitchell heart sped up with excitement. "I would love that." He smiled at him.

"What should we do?"

"Anything you want. I'm just happy you're here."

Sarah came out holding the tray. "Sandwiches are ready."

"These look delicious Sarah

"These look delicious Sarah." Markus took the plate offered to him.

Mitchell took a bite of his sandwich and had to restrain himself from shoving the sandwich into his mouth. He was really hungry. He had barely eaten anything because he had been worrying about Markus, he hadn't care about his growling stomach.
