Friday came making Mitchell feel nervous about his first public date.

He watched his reflection in the mirror, inspecting his attire. He was wearing a black and red checkered long sleeve over a white shirt, black jeans and white sneakers.

There was a knock on his door. "Are you ready?"

"Come in mom."

Sarah opened the door and stepped into his room. "You look great, honey."

"Are you sure it's not too much?"

She stood in front of him. "No, It's just perfect. Markus is going to drool over you."

"Should you be talking like that?"

"I've seen the way he looks at you. I know as a mother I should be cautious about anyone getting close to you, but I have a feeling that Markus would hurt himself first before ever hurting you."

Mitchell didn't know how to respond after that. "He wants me to meet his parents when they return from their trip."

"Don't you want to?"

"I do. I'm just scared they might not like me."

"I doubt that. Besides Markus looks like he doesn't tolerate people being rude to you." She touched his cheek with a smile.

His phone rang interrupting their conversation.

"That's him." He picked up phone and answered it. "Markus, I'm coming down now."

Mitchell rushed out his room with his mom right behind him.

"Damn! He looks delectable." Sarah murmured in his ear as Markus  walked to the door.

"Mom, please! Stop acting like a horny fifteen year old."

Mitchell closed the curtain when Markus knocked on the door.

He couldn't fault his mom for her comment though because Markus did look yummy.

"I don't think we should go anywhere with him looking like grade A snack."

Sarah laughed before pushing him towards the door. "Too late. Just go and enjoy your date."

Mitchell took a breath then opened the front door. He thought he had prepared himself mentally but his brain suffered a meltdown when Markus was standing right in front of him.

"Mitchell...Mitchell..."

Mitchell shook his head as though clearing it. "Oh...sorry. I think my brain stopped working for a minute."

Markus smirked at him. "I'm flattered. But we should get going."

Mitchell kept glancing at him even during the ride to the cinema. It was impossible not to look at him.

"A picture last longer, you know."

"Why look at a picture when I have the real thing. We should take a picture together."
