Chapter 53

The next day Mitchell woke up expecting Markus to have called him but his phone remained silent. He sent him a message but it went unchecked. When it was after one in the afternoon and still nothing, he got anxious. He went outside to call Kev.

"Kev, Where's Markus?"

"I'm good, thanks for asking."

Mitchell wasn't in the mood for his antics today. He took a deep breath, letting it out slowly.

"Where is Markus?" He asked again, albeit rather roughly.

"I'm coming to pick you in a few minutes."

"Why? What's going on with Markus?" Mitchell felt himself panicking then.

"I'm coming for you." Kev said before hanging up.

Mitchell put his phone in his pocket and got up. He grabbed his duffel bag and put in a change of clothes, keys, charger and wallet. He didn't bother with toiletries since Markus had extra spare for him.

He checked to make sure he had everything then closed and locked his door. When he reached downstairs, he went into the kitchen.

"I'm staying over at Markus's tonight."

His mom was at the stove, stirring a pot. She turned to him with a raised eyebrow.

"Good afternoon to you too."

"I'll message you later." He heard a horn beeping outside and left the kitchen. He hurriedly grabbed his bag and left.

Kev was alone in the vehicle. There was no sign of Susan.

"What's going on?" He asked, closing the door.

"Not even a...Kev, how are you?"

"I'm not I'm the mood, Kev."

Kev pulled away from the sidewalk and drove off. He was silent for a minute.

"Markus is having a withdrawal."

"Withdrawal? Isn't that for drug addicts?"

"Markus heat has reached its maximum level sooner than we thought."

"What does that mean?"

"It means, he can't wait until his birthday to have sex with you."

Mitchell eyes widened slightly when he realized what he was trying to tell him. He had already planned to have sex with Markus, it was just sooner than expected.

"But we don't have any supplies or anything. I'm not even prepared."

"I just told you that you need to have sex with Markus, but you don't look shock or anything."

"Why should I be shocked?"

"Whatever you need, is already at Markus's house. Markus told me that he didn't want to rush you but it seems like you might have to mate with him."

Mitchell mulled over his words. Markus birthday was just three days away.

"Will he be able to withstand the heat?"

"No. It's going to get worse."

"Can we mate even though it's not his birthday?"

"You can. Markus just wanted to wait until then."

"Then I'll do it. I can't have him in pain."

"He'll understand if you're not ready."

"I am ready. I've been ready since that first night at the pool."

Kev didn't reply.

When the gated opened, nervous anticipation flooded his body, making him shiver. He wanted to be with Markus.
