Markus walked closer to the mirror and touched it, immediately his fingers were pulled through like the mirror was quicksand. He pulled his finger out watching the mirror changed his image to replace it with the image of his parents.

What's going on?

The images kept changing until he saw a young girl with her back to him outside the Heavenly Realm.

She turned when someone called her name. Markus staggered back when he saw it was a younger version of his mother with blood red eyes.

"Seraphina Caddel. Daughter of a Succubus and an Angel."

The image changed again this showing his father.

"Ilion Graves. Son of an Archangel."

Markus watched the images change again to his mother and father secretly meeting each other. This was the cause of their forbidden love.

"Your mother became pregnant with you. A hybrid that each side would revered and fear."

The image changed to his parents leaving the Supernatural realm to live in Pine Crest.

"They changed their forms so no one would find out their true identity."

The mirror began to glow, distorting the images until his reflection was staring back at him. The voice had also fallen silent.

Markus touched the mirror again but it was solid. He looked around the room searching for a way out.

He spotted another door at the end of the room but it was painted black to mesh with the background.

Markus walked to the door, hand reaching out to grasped the handle when loud pounding came from the other side. The door he came through started shaking on its hinges from the weight.

Shit! What now?

He took a deep breath as he pulled the door open, bracing himself for whatever was behind it but there was nothing. Just another empty room. No furniture, nothing. He pushed the door wider against the wall.

Markus stepped into the room and the door closed behind him with loud bang. He brought his head around to look at the door and saw a carved drawing etched into the mahogany.

Curious, he went to have a look. It was a depiction of angels and demons fighting. In the middle was a single person standing alone, arms outstretched to the sky.

Markus peered at the drawing, trying to see if he could make out the figure but it was impossible. He stood immobile when he heard a whoosh sound coming from behind him.

Slowly, he turned on his feet to find a woman staring at him. She smiled at him, her smile seductive but filled with malice.

"You really are a beautiful creature."

Markus planted his feet firmly on the ground, his body slanted in a way that he could see both the door and this woman. She walked up to him and reached out a hand to touch his face.

"You remind me of someone I used to know."

Markus pulled his face away from her touch. Her hands were cold as ice.

"Who are you?"

"You sound just like him."

"I don't know who you're talking about."

She leaned forward and sniffed him, inhaling deeply. "You have his scent, even it has been diluted by demon blood."

Okay, she definitely was talking about his dad. He took a step back from her, careful to keep his back to the wall.

"You haven't answered my question."

"Oh, forgive my manners. I'm known as Mavka."
