As I suspected I regret telling Y/N to invite them to come in, Luca as always is playing with Boomer on the backyard, I am with Sofia in the living room, Jackson was here but Y/N stood up and went for some snacks to the kitchen, and before I could tell Y/N that I was going to help her, Jackson offered himself so he went to the kitchen with my fiancée, I know it hasn't been more than 5 minutes but I feel like they are taking so long, I am trying my best to not show any kind of jealousy or desperation because Sofia is literally sitting in front of me

I guess I didn't try hard enough "What's bothering you my dear?" She asked me and I sighed, not knowing if I should tell her the truth or not "You know about him right?" She asked and I nod slowly "Can I ask you something?" I told her and she nods, "Why is he here? Why are you ok with him to be here?" I asked her bluntly "He told me he was here because he regrets the decision he made 6 years ago, that he should have never left he told me that he wants Y/N back, I will be honest with you Lizzie, I have always loved Jackson, he is a very sweet man, and I really like him, he has a very good relationship with all of us" she said and I chuckled a little, I guess I'm fucked now

I stood up "Lizzie wait" she said but I ignored her "I guess now that he is back you want them together" I told her and walked away, as I was walking Y/N and Jackson came laughing with the snacks, this makes me more upset so I decided to leave and go to my garden to calm myself down, not so long after, Y/N was already here next to me, she didn't say anything, she just sat next to me as I do my thing on my garden "Are they still there?" I asked her and she shook her head "Nope, well just Luca and my mom" she said and I hummed

I thought she was going to say something else, but she didn't, I couldn't take it anymore so I started talking again "Your mom loves Jackson" I told her and she nods "I know, she probably loves him more than me" she said as if it wouldn't affect me so I scoffed "They had a very good relationship when I was dating him, I can't ask my mom to not see him if she wants to do it she can do it, now in case that you forgot you were the one who told me to invite them to come in, so you shouldn't be mad, I can't control what he does or what he will do but what I can control are my own decisions, so I think you shouldn't be mad at me for things I can't control, and not when I have told you plenty of times you are the one who I love, and the one who I want to get married" she said calmly and stood up

After that she left and went inside the house again, I stood there, thinking about everything, am I wrong on this? I mean he is her ex and he was here laughing with my fiancée as if they still have feelings for each other, my fiancée's mom loves her ex, it is really messed up. I stopped thinking more about it and went inside to search for Y/N, I know she is right, I know she loves me but fuck that man is really bothering me. When I came inside, Sofia was there, I tried to avoid her but I failed miserably "Lizzie you misunderstood me" she said and I shook my head "I think you were really clear, he made your daughter so happy, you had a very good relationship with him, you loved him so much and you want him to become the future of your daughter, you want him to fight for Y/N, I really care about you Sofia and I love you but even if you want Jackson to fight for Y/N I will not give up, this will not be an easy fight, I will fight for her, I won't let her go, even if everyone wants me to" I told her sternly

She is smiling at me, making me so confused, I just told her that I give a shit of what she wants or thinks and she is literally smiling at me "As I said you misunderstood me, yes I loved and still love Jackson, yes he made Y/N happy, yes I wanted them to build a future together, yes he is sweet and a good man, but Lizzie I love you so much, I meant it when I told you that I have never seen Y/N this happy, when you are with her she looks happy, she looks alive, and I love that, I love what you just told me, I love that you are willingly to fight for her, and that you will not give up, that reassured me what I knew, that you love my daughter and that you will not let her go" she said
