While losing his parents was very, very awful and something that might haunt his dreams for the rest of his life, Cody was rather getting along quite nicely with these demons in the depths of Hell. "So do you have any other relatives or family members that can help you?" asked Loona
"Well, my Uncle Tom and Aunt Pearl live in Boise Idaho." said Cody. "My grandparents live in that place where old people live in."
"A retirement home?" Moxxie said
"Yeah! That's it." Cody said. "Well, I do have a brother. But I don't think he can help me."
"I didn't know you have a brother?"
"Uh-huh. His names' Tommy and he is a very cool big brother. I want him to help me, but he joined the army after he finished college." Cody explained some more. "But, I'm glad he's alright."
"Yeah, that is a good thing, Cody." said Millie. "Are there any other members of your family out there?"
The young human boy explained how there are mostly family members that are far away from where he lived in before the fire. "But I don't want to move. I have friends in school, and nice neighbors."
"We get it. It's like this old saying here: Home is where the demon rests." Blitzo said. "Is there anything we can do for you? Anything you want from us exactly? A shotgun, a light machine gun, a pistol?" the boss of this company then showed him many different weapons in an attempt to make him feel better.
"Whoa whoa whoa, Blitz." said Loona. "I don't think it's really a good idea for a kid like Cody to have a gun."
"Yeah, he can shoot his eye out with it." Moxxie said
"Well don't say it like that." Millie chided.
"No, it's ok. I have played games where there is shooting a gun, but I don't want a real gun. Too loud for me." Cody said
"Oh. OK. I understand."
"But I don't know what else to do." Cody continued talking, "I don't know if I have anywhere else to go. Maybe I can probably... like in a trashcan for the rest of my life."
"What?" Loona said. "Kid, that's crazy talk. Live in a trashcan? You are not a hobo." she gently laid a comforting hand on his back. "But don't worry. You can at least come stay with me for a little while."
"Whoa, I don't think that's such a good idea." Blitzo objected. Loona glared at him. "I mean, one more mouth to feed, prepare him for college, it's just-"
"BLITZ!" Loona said. "He'll be fine. Cody stays with us, whether you like it or not." she showed her sharp teeth to show how serious she was with this idea. The boss demon of this company was certainly scared of Loona when she is angry (And he had every right to be afraid of an angry hellhound for her choleric behavior.) Angering a hellhound can be like angering a cape buffalo or a rhinoceros, and Loona can be just as unpredictable as they are. "Do you understand me?"
"Yes! Absolutely." Blitzo made a small chuckle. "And besides, I'm starting to like this kid already. We can train him to be a stone cold killer."
"Wait, wait, wait." Cody objected that idea. "I don't want to kill anyone." he looked nervous. "I'm not a demon like you guys are, and... Tommy said you should never really kill someone unless they are trying to kill someone else. And I've never used a gun before."
"Well, you won't have to kill anyone, Cody." Loona said reassuringly. "You're too little for a gun anyway."
"Yeah, you can just stay here in the office."
"But, I don't want to be all alone when you guys are out killing people." the human boy said. "I'm still just a kid."
"He's got a point, sir." Moxxie said. "He doesn't have adult supervision."
