The nerve of that Verosika Mayday. She kidnaps Cody only to be saved by his own friends, then she wants to apologize for everything she had done, and make amends with the kid, then she and her cronies see him turned into a hellhound pup from hellhound fever to snuggle and cuddle with him like an actual dog?

Yes, that Verosika was literally a nasty piece of work. Alas, it was a good thing his own friends were there to protect him from those succubi.

Still, Cody saw a look of remorse on the pop star demon's face before heading out. Did she really want to make friends with him and apologize in the most sincere way? Or was it all just a ruse? After all, those kind of demons were known for their sneaky nature and cunning.

No matter. Verosika was gone (for now), and the kid can certainly rest easy tonight. It was also nice for Tex to pay Wally for the trouble dor damaging his condiment station. As of now, the group was done eating their ice cream and they got out of the booth.

"Glad y'all enjoyed your ice cream, kiddies." Wally said in his gregarious voice. "Do come again soon. And feel free to spend more money here for more."

"Sorry about the stand, Wally." Tex pointed with his fingers in a gun gesture.

"Ah, no worries, big guy. That little compensation dough you gave me was all the apology i needed."

"Right." said Loona with her eyelids down. "try not to spend all of that in one setting." she sounded rather sarcastic as she was gently holding Cody's hand like his big sister.

"I will sure as hell try." said the carny imp. "Rocking that new hellhound look, Cody. Keep on looking like a cute puppy."

Cody didn't exactly know how to properly respond to that, but he said: "well... ok." then he let out a small chuckle.

As they exited out of the parlor, Crystal said, "hey, since your a Hellhound now, you should come to that cool hellhound party tomorrow!"

"And Tex's parties are so much fun!"

The kid realized that since he is a hellhound now, maybe it can help him blend in more to hellhound society down here and maybe many of them won'y look at Cody as food or a snack (although, he also just met that creepy guido hellhound that was harrassing Loona), and it might help him fit in more.

Walking down the street, many demons looked at Cody for how adorable he looked in his new form every once in a while. Other demons were talking about how he was still human and how he was playing the bongos for Octavia in that club a few days ago.

They were all positive praising of how he was playing the bongos that night and it made his heart fill with warm feelings that many demons were saying such praise.

"You hear that, Cody?" asked Loona. "They said they like you."

"Well, maybe it's best i am a hellhound now." said the kid. "Maybe if I came to that party if I was a human, then they would all..." he paused for a moment and started scratching his right ear woth his right hind-leg. "Oh yeah, that feels good." he sighed as he was scratching away. he stopped and got back on his feet. "Sorry. they might have eaten me like wolves."

"Oh come on." said Tex. "Maybe... a few would try to eat you, but hey, they are not that rough. "They're all my friends."

"And we always go to his parties." said Crystal.

"We haven't tried to eat you, have we Cody?" Serena added.

"No, no. I didn't say that. But Loona said that the parties can be rough for kids to handle."

"Well I kinda agree with her, Cody." said Tex. "Those parties my girlfriend throws can be crazy, but not like the people get killed kind of crazy."

"Didn't one dude die from drinking too much beer?" asked Crystal. She felt her arm get bumped by Loona.

"Not helping." Loona said through her teeth.

"Sorry."

"Besides, my girlfriend is the best. One of the nicest girls you would ever wanna meet."

"Cool."

Back in Blitzo's apartment, Cody noticed that there were a few new consoles on the TV. A Nintendo Switch, an Xbox One, and a Playstation 4 as well. Not only the consoles, but there was some stacks of games for the consoles for Cody to play with.

This brought a smile to the kid's face. Blitzo came in the room with a proud smile on his face, walking over to the TV. "Ta-da!" he said. "Hope you like it."

"I love it!" said Cody. "Thanks, Blitzo."

"Anytime, kiddo." Blitzo felt Cody hug him like he was his new father. It gave Blitzo a new warm feeling in his heart. He did love Loona being his adopted daughter, but he always wanted a son in his life, too.

Touched and flattered by the kid's kindness, Blitzo couldn't help but hug the kid back in return.

"Well, what do you know." said Loona with her arms cross and a cute smile on her canine face. "What game do you want to play first?"

"Well... I'll look, but maybe Super Smash Bros."

"Don't you worry, Cody. I figured it would suit you since many of you kids love Link, Mario, Donkey Kong, blah blah blah." Blitzo said

"Cool!" Cody said with his fists in the air. He promptly grabbed the controller and started playing on the thing. Yes, it was making him feel like everything it was before the fire.

Loona saw that there was a second controller and thought of playing with Cody. "hey, can I join you?" asked Loona.

"Sure. grab a controller."

The female hellhound smiled and grabbed the second controller to play with him. Nornally she wasn't a gamer, but she wanted to spend some time with the kid she grew to love and care for.

Blitzo was making brownies as he watched the two playing and competing against each other on the Nintendo Switch.

The next morning came and Cody got up to stretch and get himself in the shower. His vision was a little groggy, but he looked at himself in the mirror and saw that all the fur had gone, along with his tail.

It appeared that... he was back to normal, back to a human again.
