After school, Cody looked at all the students that were... happy. There was not any other kid that didn't have any other emotion besides that creepy, uneasy happiness ands those smiles on their faces did not go away. It felt like Cody was having a very weird dream that he couldn't wake up from. While it was not as horrific as any nightmares involving his parents die in a fire, this one was almost as unnerving.
"Hey kiddo." Loona startled him, making him yelp in response. "Sorry, didn't mean to startle you." She looked around at the kids. "Whoa. Everyone here..."
"I know." Cody said. "I told you things were a little strange around her lately."
"That's not like everyone to just be happy all the time." Loona admitted. "And I thought people made me sick before, but this? This is a whole new level weird on Earth."
"What can we do?"
"Ah, I wouldn't worry about it. I mean, isn't happy a good thing?"
"Yeah but look at their smiles. My friends and other guys won't share their feelings or emotions besides happiness."
"Hi Cody!" said seven voices. The kid yelped being startled again. Amy, Tyler, and six other kids greeted him while slowly waving their hands. Of course, they had those creepy smiles from before.
"Did you watch the Three Little Angels show?" Asked Tyler.
"No."
"You should watch the show." said Amy.
"It would all make us the happiest kids in the world." All the "happy" kids said in unison. Now Cody was even more creeped out than ever before.
Loona herself was also weirded out by the supposed happiness the kids were having right now. "Right." Loona said uncomfortably with an uncomfortable smile on her face while laughing nervously. "Well Cody has to go home, kids. He'll see you all again tomorrow."
"Maybe you can watch it tonight or tomorrow." said Tyler. "Or the next day," then, the other happy kids followed along with him by saying "or the next day, or the next day, or the next day,"
"Sure. I'll take a look." Cody replied uncomfortably. "Come on, Loona."
"Right behind you, Cody." They both walked away from the happy kids and they were all just looking at the two as they walked away from them. Looking back to see their creepy smiled and eyes still on them, Cody and Loona walked away faster to get away from them.
when they found an isolated place to go back to Hell, they both noticed that lot of the townspeople had those creepy smiles. Men, women, and children alike.
"OK, that was really freaky." Loona said.
"We should look at what's going on here." Cody said. "Something is defiantly wrong."
"No kidding." Loona agreed.
The boy turned on the TV to find that show his friends kept suggesting to him to watch again and again. What he was lookin at on the screen surprised him completely. It was those three little cherubs that he met before on Earth at the diner.
Cletus, Colin, and Keenie. "And now, the three Little Angels Show." said a male announcer. "With your lovable hosts; Colin, Cletus, and Keenie."
The background of this show was a hypnotic background with swirling circles of blue and white. "Hello everyone." said Cletus. "We are so happy to see you."
"And it warms our hearts to see your sweet, smiling faces." Keenie added
"Now it is time for our special song to lift your spirits and make the world a better place." Collin said.
All three of them began singing "Sing the happy, happy, happy, happy, happy, happy song, You'll be happy all day long. Get rid of your sadness and fears, get rid of all your anger and tears, you'll be happy forever!"
that was when the hypnosis was starting. Luckily, Cody turned the TV off before he could be hypnotized. It turns out; this show was hypnotizing people and turning them into soulless, happy zombies. Cody could hardly believe it.
"Ugh! So those little cherub shits are behind this?" Loona said. "And I thought we saw the last of them."
"Loona, we gotta help everyone. Everyone is a happy zombie thanks to those cherubs."
"What can we do?"
"Stop them."
"Well... they're just happy." Loona said
"but you saw how creepy my friends looked with those smiles."
"You're right." Loona said in defeat. "Let's just look at the neighborhood and see if there is still anyone not a happy zombie."
"Good idea. "I'll take a look on earth and see if thee is anything I can do to stop this."
"By yourself? Hell no." Loona said.
"But I don't want to kill anyone. I know a lot of people there since that is my home." Cody countered. "So try and transport me my grandparents' house, and I'll see if they are still normal. My grandpa doesn't watch a lot of TV."
"OK,." Loona didn't like the idea of leaving Cody with all those soulless happy zombies, but Cody was persistent. "Be careful. This could be dangerous."
"I know it could be dangerous. Just tell Blitzo and the others. I might need their help in this. You guys have dealt with these angels before."
"Yep. Good point." Loona transported him to Ed and Beatrice' farmstead and the animals looked normal and well-fed in their pens and pastures. Cody opened the door and hoped they were not happy zombies.
"Grandma, grandpa, we have a problem." said Cody. "There's a TV show that's turning everyone in town into-"
"Hello, Cody." Said his grandparents. To Cody's horror, they had creepy smiles on their faces. "Isn't it a happy day?"
"Oh no." said Cody. "Not you guys too."
"And now, you will tell everyone to watch this show." said Cletus on the TV. "And get ready!" he sounded more cheerful now. "Because our next broadcast will go out into the world."
"The world?" Cody said. "I can't let them turn everyone on earth into happy zombies."
"Come on, sit down Cody. Sit and relax and we will all be happy together."
With his left eye twitching, Cody was speechless and ran out of the door while screaming "Nooooo!"
"Shall we chase him, dear?" asked Beatrice
"Nothing would make me happier, honey."
