The Steam Room was so heavenly for Cody to endure in this sauna. He almost felt like falling asleep from how nice and soothing the mist was brushing against his skin. "You know, I've been to Louisiana and Florida, and it feels like this. But it was so annoying."

"The only appropriate time to feel humidity is in this kind of place, nothing more." Loona placed her hands behind her head in relaxation as she crossed her legs.

"Loona?"

The female hellhound chuckled. "Oh shut up." she said with a smirk. "I mean, yeah, but I also want someone who's a really nice guy who just wants to he in love. Most guys who see me roll their tongues on the floor as soon as they get a look at me. They would just love me for my body and looks."

"And... you have a problem with that?" asked the kid

"it's just... shallow, a little bit." Loona remarked. "You ever heard this saying 'true beauty comes from the inside, not the outside' by any chance?"

"Ohhhh. I get it." Cody said. "I remember reading the ugly duckling when I was little."

"There you go." Loona pointed. "But you wouldn't understand much about it. I mean, you're still a little kid."

"Uh-huh. I don't really like see people kiss with their tongues so much." and he had a sick feeling in his stomach.

"I think many people of all ages don't like that either, kiddo."

"I don't even know why many people would do that stuff. I've seen Tommy and Celeste do that sometimes in the living room.

"Yeesh. Kid, love can be a crazy thing." Loona smirked. "You just need to learn how to control it to not make everyone uncomfortable." It was silent in the room for a minute as both of them were enjoying the steam some more.

"Loona, I kinda feel like it's my fault that Bruce got that brain surgery thing in the first place." Cody looked guilty over the ordeal of that prank that he targeted his former-bully with. "I didn't mean to turn him into a zombie."

"Come on, Cody." said Loona, gently wrapping her furry arm around his shoulders, "Don't be guilty. Admittedly... while I think the lobotomy the doctor gave him was a little... shocking. I mean, that kind of surgery has been banned for many, decades. But come on, some people up there are just plain evil, even by our standards." a sudden thought popped up in Loona's head and looked a little scared like she said something she shouldn't have said. "I mean, not that I'm evil or anything."

"No, it's ok Loona." said Cody. "I know you're not evil, neither is Moxxie, Millie, or Blitzo... or Tex. And I notice Blitzo doesn't always leave you alone."

Loona just made an exasperated groan. "Ugh, I know. He doesn't know when to get off my a- i mean, my neck. Sometimes I wish he would just mind his own business. Though I wonder why he doesn't bother you so much."

"Maybe because I'm a boy. And I've seen movies where dads can be a little... crazy on their daughters."

"Right... that makes sense."

"And I haven't... really been adopted by him." he looked a little left out. "I just want to be part of a family again since what happened to my mom and dad."

Loona understood what Cody was going through. She couldn't really blame him though. The kid has been through literal hell seeing his parents get burnt to death. She didn't say anything at first and slightly looked away.

Deep down, Loona would love to adopt the young boy, but she wasn't so sure what Blitzo would think of that. Would he be ok with it? Or would he hate the idea? "Ah come on," she thought to herself. "Blitzo likes Cody too. Of course he'll like him in the family." to Cody she said to him: "Cody, I would like to say that..."

"Yeah?"

"I'll be happy to adopt you." Loona smiled.

Those words made Cody touched and felt like crying tears of joy from himself. He smiled and asked: "Really?"

"Uh-huh. I will make you apart of my family." she hugged him gently. Cody let out one tear of happiness from his left eye. he was happy that he was going to be part of a family again (even though it might be a demonic, dysfunctional family in Hell). Still, these demons really cared about him anyway.

"Thanks Loona." Cody said. "But is it going to take a little time?"

"For now, yeah. I mean, I don't know how I would even do that. I would probably... have to do it on Earth since your a human."

"Oh." the kid sounded a little bummed.

"But don't worry, I'll think of something out. I promise."

"Alright." Cody smiled. "I'm just glad I'm not in an orphanage, or a homeless shelter, or a group home."

Loona chuckled. "Hehe. Right? That would be pretty boring. Can't always trust the staff of those places anyway. And I'm glad you're not living under a bridge right now like a hobo would do."

Cody laughed a little.

So after they were done with the steam room, Loona decided to go get a massage, and there was a handsome male hellhound present to help her with that.

There was also a succubus there, but Cody recognized her. Yes, it was that blonde girl from Verosika's slutty posse.

"Welcome to my own-" before she can say anything else, she was surprised to see the kid, recognizing him instantly. "Oh! Cody, it's you!" she said.

The blonde succubus frowned. "Hey. Verosika said she was sorry, sweetie."
