There were interesting walls and decorations inside many corridors of Satan's Palace,ike many heads of many monstrous animals he might have hunter in his free time, and statues of many rock and metal musicians.

Looking at the heads of the deceased animals gave poor Cody an uncomfortable feeling, but he was liking this Charlie girl, and she seemed different than many demons down here.

He wondered if he friends will be alright while he is spending some time with Charlie, and the Dark Lord himself. "Quite a sight, isn't it?" Satan said to Cody. "I love hunting in the great outdoors in my free time."

"So do you know any demons down here?" asked Charlie

"Well, I know the guys back there, and Stolas."

"Oh. You know that owl freak eh?" said Satan

"Dad!" said Charlie. "I'm friends with Octavia, remember?"

"What? He is weaker than I am, and he knows that as much as any demon down here."

"Sorry about my dad." said Charlie

"It's ok." said Cody. "I'm just glad he really doesn't want to eat me, Charlie. So you run a hotel?"

"Yep! Although it is a little rundown."

"Most of the buildings here in Hell are rundown, sweetheart." said Satan. "And, fhe hotel used to be our old castle before we purchased this new one."

"But you own everything down here?"

"I ak the king of Hell after all. As a matter of fact, there is a theme park called Lu Lu World, which is like a better version of Disney world."

"Like Loo Loo Land?" asked Cody

"Loo Loo Land is... kind of a bootleg place." Charlie looked a little nervous. "But the hotel is nice. Friendly staff, coworkers, and some of my friends work in it. Although... it's been mocked many times by many people of hell. Most notably a stupid bitch- sorry, I mean, stupid trollop named Katie Killjoy. But don't worry about her. She's not a big problem that much."

"Why create a hotel like that?"

"Well. I always dreamed of building a better Hell, and I try to help condemned souls change and go to heaven to be better."

"Like Purgatory?"

"Right! like Purgatory, but way better." Charlie pointed. "And as a way to keep the population from overcrowding the place and suffer from the exorcists."

"Exorcists?" asked Cody.

"Ooh, i shouldn't have brought that up." Charlie looked like she told Cody forbidden information. "They... are angels from heaven to kill a portion of Hell's population to keep the population in control."

"What?" said Cody. "That's not right! why would they allow that?" he thought of when Blitzo told him that there were some corrupt people in Heaven too, and said: "They won't kill me, will they?"

"No! of course not!" said Charlie. "Just atsy inside and they won't barge in."

"Whew. OK."

"So if you hage any trouble, come talk to me."

"Funny, Blitzo, Stolas, and Loona said the same thing to me."

"I know. I figured. This is just in case any one of them is unavailable."

"Oh."

"Ah, Charlie, there you are." said an older women's voice. There stood a tall, elegant, beautiful woman that looked a little bit like Charlie, but with longer hair and horns on her head.

"Hi mom!" said Charlie.

"I wanted to tell you that Vaggie-" she then noticed the kid. "Well hello." she said to Cody. "Where did you come from?"

"It's... a funny story mom. This is Cody." Charlie clarified.

"The one i told you about, Lily." Satan pointed

"Oh, that's right, Lu Lu." Lilith said. "So you are the child i have heard about. My, you are more adorable than i imagined

"Isn't he precious?" said Cody

The kid couldn't help but Blush.

"Oh, and dear, can you tend to the pets?"

"Yes dear." said Lucifer while rolling his eyes before heading down another hall to tend to the family pets, whoever they are.

"My husband has his way of... viewing everyone's personal lives down here, sweetie, said Lilith.

"Yeah, he told me. He says he sees all."

"He's a peeping Tom a lot of times." Charlie pointed.

"So Cody," Lilith addressed him, "How did you end up down here?"

"Loona saved me."

"Loona?"

"His hellhound friend, mom." Charlie pointed.

"She saved me from dying in a fire." Cody pointed. "I wouldn't still be alive today if it wasn't for her."

"Intriguing." said Lilith. "But where are your parents?"

Cody frowned and didn't answer.

"Let's just say they're not there for him right now." said Charlie, trying not to make it explicit

"Dead." Cody answered. "They weren't very lucky in the fire."

"What?" Lilith looked surprised. "Oh Cody." she sounded sympathetic. "I am so sorry to hear that."

"No, it's ok. I just need to move on." Cody said. "I mean, crying and wallowing in sadness won't bring them back."

Lilith smiled and said: "Good. That is absolutely true. That shows your growing up so fast." she walked up to him, and knelt down and gently touched his face with a warm hand. It was so warm that it gave cody a very warm feeling, like it was his own mother touching him all over again. For a queen of Hell, she had some warmness in her. "My daughter really likes you a great deal as I can see, dear."

"How can I not?" said Charlie. "I mean, look at him. Don't you just want to pinch his cheeks?"

Chuckling, Lilith said: "Indeed."

"Please don't." said Cody, grasping his face. "I still don't really... trust you guys yet."

"Oh I wasn't really going to pinch you." Lilith said. "I was only joking, darling." She couldn't help but boop his nose. "Come, I would like to give you something." Cody followed him to her and Satan's bedroom and she reached into her closet, pulling out a book. "Here you go."

Cody was holding a book that spelled out: "The Demon and the Angel." on it. "What's it about?"

"Read it, and you will find out, Cody."

"OK."

"Charlie used to love this, and she doesn't ever read it anymore. So it's yours."

"Thank you, your majesty. You're way better than Stella."

"Stella Goetia? Oh yes. She was nothing but a pompous snob who thought she was better than most demons, including me. Well she was wrong."

"Stella's dead now." Cody pointed

"I know." said Lilith. "And her death was very rightful."

"Still don't trust us, Cody?"

"Not one hundred percent." the kid admitted.

"We understand." said Lilith. "We in Hell get a bad reputation, especially from the mormons on earth."

"You guys are way better than Verosika Mayday, that's for sure."

"Verosika?" said Charlie. "Oh my god, you know her?"

"Yes." Cody frowned bitterly. "She kidnapped me so I can be her toy, but my friends saved me, and I hate her so much."

"Ooh. Sorry to hear that." said Charlie. "She makes good music though."

"Ehhh, i prefer rock and Metal." the kid admitted.
