After another thirty minutes, Cody was still shooting the pistol given to him, and he hoped that it wouldn't make him go deaf with all the loud blasts heard as he kept on firing at the target. He felt like he should have gotten himself earmuffs like in shooting ranges so it wouldn't have to be so loud for him to endeavor. Yet again, he had been to some heavy metal concerts and he was probably used to noises like that. His arms were getting sore from all the kickbacks he was receiving from firing his new pistol and he just wanted to take a break from this.
"You're doing good, kid." said Blitzo with his arms crossed. "How do your arms feel?"
"Almost like I've been lifting weights with them." Cody admitted. "And I can't even lift those large weights. They're too heavy." the boy put his new pistol down to rest his arms, because they felt like noodles to him. "I probably need ice for my arms."
"Don't worry, it's not so bad." said Loona. "On the upside, you're slowly improving your shooting."
Cody got himself some more lemonade to drink and it always felt refreshing to him to eat these cold beverages, and just wanted to rest his arms after all those kickbacks. "I feel like I'm preparing for a zombie apocalypse." The others couldn't help but laugh.
"Kinda does feel that way." Moxxie smirked.
"But if it does happen, you would be safe and sound down here in Hell." Millie gently ruffled his brown hair. "And you would have nothing to worry about."
"I doubt a zombie apocalypse would actually happen." said Loona while nodding her head. "I know your Earth face many disasters in history like the Bubonic plague or... I think it was called the Bubonic plague." she didn't know for sure. "But you're doing good. Like Vortex said, if you ever go camping out in the wilderness, it's a good idea to have these new weapons."
Cody looked at his two axes and then his revolver. "I don't think it would be enough to take down a large meteor that might come down to Earth and destroy us all." he admitted
"That's a little morbid." said Tex.
"I'm sorry." said Cody. "it's just that, after... losing my parents it just... made me more cautious and careful about what's going on."
"It's ok, Cody." said Vortex. "You're still a kid and you should have fun with your life and live it to the fullest."
"Tex is right." said Moxxie. "I doubt the Earth would even be struck by a gigantic meteor. Chances of that are as slim as... more slim than winning the lottery."
"True. But I am moving on." Cody said. "I promise. At least, I got you guys."
"Oh come here." said Loona before giving him another hug. It made the kid warm on the inside and he really felt glad to have a new friend like her.
"Thanks, Loona. So those agents won't try and hurt me anymore, and will I see you after school tomorrow?"
"As always, Cody. As always." Loona gently ruffled his hair like Millie did before. "And i'll be waiting for you."
Cody smiled again
While listening to Miss Stacey talk about geography and the continents of the world, and she begins to talk about Africa to Cody and the other kids, and the animals that live on the dark continent, which amazed many of the kids in awe. "Africa is a very diverse continent, and has so many countries and wonders." said Stacey. "And it is the birth-" but before she can finish her sentence, there was a loud, repetative booming sound outside, and it spooked everybody, especially Cody.
"What was that?" said Tyler.
"I don't know." said a female student.
"Sounded like an explosion." said another female student named Carly.
