Everything looked good and Cody didn't get busted by reluctantly going out of the apartment against Loona's wishes. Still, it was nice of him to meet a demon friend his age (or somewhere around his age) in Hell.
Beyoncé's head was going to make an excellent trophy for the Immediate murder Professionals, right next to Kesha's disembodied head in the office.
Perhaps one of these days, he might hang out with Misty again and she'll meet Loona one of these days as well. The whole gang was having a toast to killing another talentless musician (but of course, Cody had a root beer since he is still a kid).
"A toast to Beyoncé's death!" Blitzo said.
"A votre santé." Loona said before everyone touched their cups and took a sip.
Then a knock on the door was heard. "I'll get it!" Cody blurted before walking up to the front door to see who it was. To his surprise it was the same hellhound girl as before. "Yeek!" He blurted.
"Hey Cody, you forgot your gun." Misty said before Cody panicked and snatched the gun from Misty, hiding it from the others.
"What was that?"
"Solicitor." Said Cody. "They don't know when to leave people alone."
"What?" Misty said on the other side. "Come on, Cody, do I look like a solicitor?"
"Well they can look like anyone." Cody sang to her. "So go away please."
"Ok, what is going on?" Loona went to answer the door herself. "Hey." She said to Misty.
"W'sup?" Misty replied to her.
"Can I help you?"
"No just wanted to return Cody's gun that he carried after our little time together."
The human boy tried silently telling her to shut up or be quiet, but, it was no use. The damage was already done. "What? Did you steal it from me?! What the heck were you thinking?" He tried one last futile effort.
Loona obviously didn't buy it. "Cody," she said in a calm voice with her eyes narrowed. "What is going on here, and don't lie to me."
Cody was silent and took a deep breath before answering to her: "ok, this is Misty. She wanted to hang out with me and I didn't want to because you told me not to leave the apartment. But she was persistent so I thought this would be quick. She seems like a cool girl, and I brought my gun just in case something went wrong."
Loona was silent for a moment and looked at Misty. "He dropped his gun while running back here and I came here to give it back to him." The hellhound girl said. "And for a goody two-shoes, I think he's a pretty ok guy." Then Loona looked back at Cody, looking a little indifferent. "So come on, don't be mad at him. I mean he's a goody two-shoes like i said."
"Well, i'm glad you're ok." said Loona. "But,"
Cody prepared to what hear what his new adopted sister had to say. "But what?"
"I'm not happy when you disobeyed me and lied to me like this. So, i am a little disappointed in you, Cody." Loona said. if there was one thing a child hated more than anything, it would be having their parents or trusted legal guardians disappointed at them. That can be worse than the most painful spanking given to him. The human kid felt like he had completely broken Loona's trust like this. He bowed his head, knowing of what kind of consequences he will probably get from his adopted sister.
"I know." Cody said. "Like i said, i brought my gun with me and i didn't get hurt."
"Yes Cody, i know." Loona said. "And i am glad on you are safe." then she looked at the younger hellhound girl. "So Misty, what exactly did you guys do together?"
"We went to Blood Burger and the taxidermy emporium." Misty replied back. "That's pretty much it, Loona. Look, i promise i didn't hurt him. If i did, i would have given him painful claw marks on him."
"Oh thanks a lot." Cody sarcastically said to her.
"Hey, i'm sticking out for you, Cody." Misty said.
"Come on, Loony, just ground him or something, you're ruining a good toast."
"Shut up, Blitzo!" Loona said. "i know what i'm doing." she looked more calm at Cody. "So Cody, she does seem like an ok girl or whatever, but like i said; i told you to stay here when i was gone. So..."
"OK, i'll accept whatever punishment you give me." Cody bowed his head.
"Well, look, you are a good boy, but... i have to do what i have to do." Loona said. "I'm afraid that you are grounded for the whole day."
Cody just let out a breath in reply. "Grounded?" he said. He had never been grounded before in his life, and he is a good boy.
"For a whole day. You did lie to me after all." Loona said very calmly. She gave him a more stern look and still sounding very calm and collected, she slowly pointing her finger to Cody's bedroom. "now, She flatly yet softly said in a mildly stern voice, "go to your room."
"Does it have to be like this?"
"I'm sorry, Cody." said Loona, "but it is the way it has to be."
"OK." Cody slowly walked away from Loona and did just that. The others looked on in sympathy as Cody went to his room in shame. He slowly closed the door and Loona was left speechless after.
"Wait a minute." said Misty. "He's just a kid."
"Stay out of this, you." Loona said. "He is my responsibility. And you're lucky that he didn't get hurt."
"But, it was my fault."
"I'm only do thing this to him for a reason." Loona said to her.
