Crying on the bed at the sudden transformation from a human to a hellhound, Cody could hardly believe what had happened to him over the course of the night. First; he had the feeling like a regular cold, but this? This was really new to him. The reason why he was crying was that he was worried he would be like this forever, and he didn't want to be a hellhound forever. The guys looked concerned about the kid's well-being as they see how sad and confused he was right now. "Hey, don't cry Cody. It's not the end of the world." said Vortex, trying to comfort him.
"But what if I turn into a hellhound forever?" Cody said. "I don't want to be a hellhound forever, I want to be a human again!" he cried into the pillow again as he was feeling distressed again. "I mean, look at me, I'm a freak! I'm a monster!" he stopped crying for a moment and looked at Loona for a moment and realized he might have hurt her, and Tex too. "Oh, no offense Loona, Vortex. I mean, I didn't chose to be like this."
Both Loona and Tex didn't look offended, and Loona said: "No, it's ok. I've been called worse anyway."
"After all, it's common to be called freaks here." said Vortex
Cody realized that those two might have a point. Being called horrendous names in Hell might not be an uncommon thing to endure. Many people down here are damned souls who did evil or wicked things while they were alive. "But is this permanent on me? What will Tommy think? What would mom and dad think if they see me like this?"
"Hey hey hey, calm down." Loona said, gently grabbing his left arm and shoulder. "We don't know for sure. This has never happened before to a human. After all, the humans that die and end up down here become demons anyway.
The human boy tried to calm down, but Loona pulled him in for a hug. "But I'm worried it will be permanent. What am I going to do? Should I see a doctor again?" he then paused and began scratching behind his right ear with a hind-leg like any canine would do. "ooh, that feels nice." he said while scratching. After he was done, Cody then began panicking some more and shouted: "How am I going to turn back into a human?!" he gasped in realization before saying: "I might never set foot in the human world again!" and he continued crying in his pillow feeling helpless.
"Look, Cody, calm down, calm down." Loona soothed him some more. "come on, you're not a monster."
"Yes I am! Look at me! I can't even look at myself in the mirror anymore!"
"Cody, you're being such a fucking drama queen." Blitzo said before Moxxie bumped his arm with his left elbow, making him yell: "Ow!" Everyone glared at Blitzo for making an insensitive statement.
"Not helping, sir." Moxxie scowled.
"Don't listen to him, sweetie." Millie said. "You're not hideous." she looked at him a little more and added: "Matter of fact; you look as cute as spring piggies!"
Cody stopped his sobbing for a moment, and wiped the tears from his now furry face. "Cute?" he said.
"Yeah, i mean, now that you think of it, you kinda look like a puppy a little bit, Cody." said Moxxie. "I mean, look at that face." Cody pulled himself the hand mirror from before and realized that he did look like a puppy as a hellhound a little bit. His personality didn't change so much, and he can still walk on two legs. It slowly made him feel like he was a werewolf of some kind with all that brown fur. Plus, he realized that werewolves really wouldn't have to wear clothes, and his unmentionables were covered by fur anyway.
Thinking long and hard; Cody was slowly starting to realize that this is not so bad after all. He doesn't feel any kind of pain on him, and he felt that his stamina and agility had increased within him, as if he had been reborn into something great. "I... I don't know what to say." he admitted
"Well, I agree with Moxxie and Millie." Crystal stated.
"Yeah! You are just one of the cutest hellhound pups I have ever seen!" Serena added. "And we have seen some pretty adorable hellhound pups before. But since you turned into one,"
"You're the cutest one of all." Crystal said, both of them hugging him like their own teddy bear.
"OK girls, that's enough." said Tex. "He's still a little confused."
"Sorry." both girls said in unison before letting him go.
"It's OK." said Cody. "Before the fire, my grandma would want to pinch my cheeks all the time." Cody admitted. "But she might think i'm a freak."
"Come on, look at you." said Blitzo. You look more adorable than Loony is."
Loona couldn't help but blush in anger and shout: "i am not adorable!" she even grabbed him by the shirt and held him up like she was about to swallow him whole down her throat, and into her stomach. While gritting her teeth, she snarled at him by saying: "Not in front of them. Call me adorable again, and you'll literally never see the light of day again!"
Blitzo couldn't help but gulp in fear and asked: "you mean gouge my eyes, right?"
"That's right!" Loona said. "And I promise, it's going to hurt like hell. Literally and figuratively." She still looked scary when she is angry, and Blitzo gulped in complete fear. There are certainly a few instances where even Blitzo cannot control Loona and her anger, despite being her adopted father. "Next time you call me adorable... you know." Loona sounded more calm, even though she didn't stop her angry face from showing.
"OK! OK! I'm sorry, Loona. Just please let me go before you destroy my wind pipe!"
Loona let him go and looked back at Cody. "Look, we'll get you to the doctor again again if you want, kid."
The child smiled and said: "OK. That would be good." They all went back to the doctor to get a closer look of how Cody got turned into a hellhound. And of course, to know if this change will be temporary or permanent on the kid.
