Cody was having some hibiscus juice that Stolas kindly gave him as the guest of the Goetia residence, and he was sitting with the girls on the sofa, showing them funny videos of goats and sheep screaming like humans, and it made them all laugh their guts off just watching this funny YouTube stuff.
"How do they even scream like that?" Octavia let out a small chuckle.
"I don't know." said Cody. "I guess that's how they sound." Yes, these videos never get old for the nine-year-old child here. "You guys seen the sneezing panda video?"
"that one we have." Charlie pointed.
"Especially mama bear's reaction to it." Vaggie added. After a while they had their fun with the animals doing funny stuff surfing and Cody turned off his phone to save some battery power.
"So Vaggie, what made you get down here?" asked Cody curiously.
Vaggie frowned and looked rather ashamed. "She doesn't really like to talk about it, sweetie." Charlie answered for her girlfriend.
"Yeah. I don't really want to discuss it. Just thinking about it makes me cry." she slightly turned away from the others.
"Oh. I'm sorry. I was just curious."
"It's ok. You're not the only one to ask that. Believe me." Vaggie pointed. "But hey, i'm just glad you're not dead."
"But i didn't commit any sin to bring me down here." Cody admitted. "... maybe except let my friends go out and kill Sheryl Leach."
"Oh come on." said Octavia with doubt. "She created one of the most annoying, atrocious, and unbearable things to ever exist in this existence. If you want my honest opinion, Cody, she deserves to die." she then laid a comforting hand on his back to make him feel more better. "Besides, even if you do end up down here, then you have us to keep you company."
"Yeah, and nothing would ever really change." Charlie pointed.
"Even if i might accidentally make your dad mad at me if i said something i shouldn't have said?" Cody asked
"Don't worry. Many demons down here talk behind my dad's back all the time, and he puts up with it every day." Charlie pointed.
"Really?" asked Cody.
"Oh yeah. But he's the king of hell, and he doesn't really care so much." Vaggie pointed. "That, or he's too busy to even bother taking down political adversaries."
"Busy torturing sinners?" Cody asked
"More or less." said Charlie. "It's just a hobby my dad really enjoys."
"It wouldn't surprise me." Cody sounded a little nervous. "I just don't want him to just kidnap me and torture me for his own pleasure."
"Come on." said Charlie. "Believe it or not, i think he kinda likes you."
"I don't know if i believe that Charlie. I mean, from what i've heard, he's probably a good liar. People selling their souls to him and all."
"Oh, that's mostly just... Christian stuff." Vaggie said.
Cody gave the two girls a doubtful, cynical look on his face, thinking that they were fibbing to put it lightly. "Really?" he said with his arms crossed now.
"Ok, ok." said Charlie. "My dad is a good liar. But me and my mom can help you if he gives you trouble."
"Or Jesus." Cody said. "He can always help me since Satan hates him and is so afraid of him."
"Whoa, whoa whoa, I wouldn't go that far." said Octavia. "That sounds like a perfect way to give him the middle finger, if you know what I mean. It could possibly have him zap you or disentigrate you in an instant."
