😱thriller (g.g.) (requested)😱

(A/N: This oneshot was requested by jojoswahy. Thanks for the request! I hope you like it! The song in the title is a reference to the song of the same name by Michael Jackson. Now, on with the oneshot!)

       "You sure this movie won't be too scary for you?"

       I heard my boyfriend, Guy, ask from his kitchen. He was grabbing the newly popped bag of popcorn out of the microwave as I sat on the couch, surrounded by pillows and blankets.

       "Are you kidding? This movie isn't that scary!" I said, lying through my teeth.

       The truth was I was scared shitless to watch the movie. Scary movies weren't really my thing but with it being October, Guy had decided that our movie night needed to be spooky. I planned on keeping my eyes down in my lap as much as possible and only watching when Guy looks at me.

       Guy came in with a bowl filled with the popped snack and flopped down beside me. He offered me the bowl as he grabbed the remote off the coffee table.

       "Ready?" Guy asked, pointing the remote at the TV.

       I shoved a handful of popcorn in my mouth and nodded, knowing that if I spoke my voice would sound scared. He nodded back at me and pressed the 'play' button. Almost immediately, the movie started playing. And I was wishing it was over already.

       I had to say that I've been doing really well so far. I'd even looked at the screen a few times without Guy looking in my direction. Everything was going well...that is, until we got to the middle of the movie when the monsters started killing people left and right. A particularly blood curdling scream made me jump and send the popcorn bowl flying across the room.

        "You okay?" Guy asks, looking at me worriedly.

        "Y-yeah. I'm fine." I say, unconvincingly.

       "Don't worry, baby. It isn't real." Guy assured as he wrapped his arms around me. 

       I burrowed my head into the spot where his neck and shoulder met, hiding my eyes from the gruesome scene on the TV. Another scream sounded.

       "It's j-just a movie." Guy assured again. I wasn't sure whether he was trying to assure me or himself.

       A monster roared. This time it was Guy's turn to jump.

       "Uh...maybe we should watch something else?" Guy suggested.

       "Yes!" I agreed back instantly.

       He quickly grabbed the remote and shut off the scary movie we'd been watching. He got up and grabbed our favorite movie and put that in instead.

       "Now this is more like it." I said, burrowing back into his side once he'd sat back down. He placed his finger under my chin, gently lifting my head to place a kiss on my lips. I smiled into the kiss as I returned it. What started as a small kiss quickly turned passionate. I finally had to place my hand on Guy's chest and push him away slightly.

       "Guy? The movie?" I said, a bit out of breath.

       "Oh, yeah." Guy said back with a slight laugh.

       We snuggled back together as the now comforting movie played on the screen in front of us. It might not have been a strong start but the finish wasn't quite so bad.
