Author's Note
Wow, can't believe I'm done with this book. My first attempt at a fanfic and I didn't ever think I would be as attached as I am to this world and these characters. I'd just like to say thank you to those who have read, and especially those who've liked and commented - it gave me motivation to keep writing knowing that someone was reading. I will be going back through the book before marking complete - typo hunting etc - so let me know if there's anything you want including before I mark as complete e.g. do I cast Molly and George? etc.
This story got me through a really hard time and some of that comes out in the book. I wrote about this subject matter because I think it's really important we normalise LGBT footballers and while this may not be the platform for change, I hope it made anyone who read this think about what it would be like to be gay in Men's Football.
To my Original character, Jake Rivers. You are the combination of so many people in my life. I got to do whatever came into my head with you and suddenly I felt a voice form, of this you would and wouldn't say. You gave me comfort in my darkest times, thinking through your next moves, and thank you for showing me some light and clarity in my own life.
