The holidays and new years went by quickly for Logan and Rory. They were both really busy with work. It was a couple of weeks after New Year's and Rory and Logan were sitting in their bed reading.
"Hey Logan" Rory said looking up from her book
"Yeah, Ace?" Logan put down the paper he was reading
"What do you think about me going off my birth control?" Rory asked shyly
"Meaning you could get pregnant?" Logan asked, making sure he understood what Rory was saying
"Yup"
"Really?" Logan asked excitedly
"Yeah" Rory said smiling
"This is amazing!" He kissed her
"You do know that it probably won't happen right away, right?" She did
"I know. But I'm still excited" he kissed her again

February 2009:
"I wanna take a test" Rory told Logan, while they sat, cuddled up on the couch watching a movie one evening
"Yeah?" Logan asked smiling widely
"Yeah" Rory said
"You mean a pregnancy test right?" Logan asked
"Yes" Rory chuckled
"Ok, well do you have one?" He asked
"Oh. No, I don't" Rory said
"Well, then I'll be right back" he said standing up and kissing her
"Where are you going?" Rory asked
"To get you a test" He said and walked out the door
Logan came back a few minutes later with a paper bag from the pharmacy.
"Ok I got 4 different kinds and a gallon of lemonade" Logan said sitting down next to Rory on the couch
"What's the lemonade for?" Rory asked
"You're supposed to pee on these right?" Logan asked and Rory nodded "hence the lemonade"
A few minutes later Rory walked out of the bathroom to see Logan sitting on their bed twiddling his thumbs
"Well?" He asked
"Results take 3 minutes" Rory said sitting down
"You feeling ok" Logan asked Rory "you look a little pale"
"Just anxious for the results" she assured him "also I drank like three quarters of that gallon bottle of lemonade you bought"
They sat together in a comfortable silence u til the timer rang and snapped them out of their thoughts.
Rory walked into the bathroom, picked up the test and walked back out.
"Well?" Logan asked
Rory looked at the test then back up at Logan and shook her head. Logan got up and walked over to Rory, pulling her into a tight hug
"Next time, Ace" he whispered
"Next time" she echoed
