(WinRina) Birthday Cake {M++}

"So any plans for Karina's birthday?"Giselle asked and Winter fumbled her phone out of her hand, she immediately picked up the phone and checked the calendar

"Win... Did you seriously forget your wife's birthday?"Giselle asked and Winter sat on the floor in disbelief, she wasn't paying much attention to the date of the day but she had so much planned for Karina's birthday... She wanted it to be grand but... She forgot what day it was already and none of the plans got carried out

"Gosh... What do I do Giselle? I wanted to make a lot of things I had a whole list planned... But the date went out of my mind"Winter said and Giselle sighed, she placed her hand on Winter's shoulder

"Just tell her what happened... Karina will understand, I bet she just wanted to spend the day with you anyways"

"Uhmm... So Karina"Winter started and her wife turned to her, it was already Karina's birthday and although Winter managed to buy her some flower before going home and giving it to her by midnight Winter thought that it still didn't feel like it was enough

"Hmm? What is it?"Karina asked, settling her book down and fixing her glasses

"You see... I had a lot of plans for today... I was gonna rent out a place for us... I was gonna do a lot of things with you today but... The day slipped my mind and the only thing I got you were flowers..."Winter said, fidgeting with her fingers as Karina stared at her in disbelief

"You think I'm angry at you for that? Come on baby, you know I don't care much about anything as long as I know it's from you... Anything you do or give is always enough for me"Karina said and kissed Winter's cheek

"But still... I can't believe myself... How could I forget the day?"Winter replied and Karina chuckled

"Then how about this? Let's bake a cake together and eat it for later as a celebration"Karina said and Winter looked at her

"But-"

"Ah! No more buts, let's go bake right now"Karina cutted her off and instantly pulled her out of their room, she grabbed the utensils needed for baking and before she could grab the ingredients Winter tugged on her shirt

"Is this really enough?"Winter asked and Karina cupped her face

"Yes... Maybe even more than enough, so stop sulking at yourself because this cake isn't gonna bake itself"Karina said and Winter laughed, giving Karina a quick peck before going to the fridge and grabbing some ingredients

"Is this right?"Karina asked and looked at the book to confirm the ingredients she was putting in while Winter was already done whipping up the cream for the topping

"Do you need help?"Winter asked and Karina furrowed her eyebrows before mixing the bowl again

"It feels like I'm making dough instead of a batter"Karina said and Winter chuckled before going over to her side

"Hmm... Ah! Rina it's already overmixed!"Winter exclaimed and Karina immediately stopped mixing the batter

"Ahh... You can over mix this?"Karina asked and Winter didn't know if Karina sounded cute or stupid... Maybe both

"It's okay we can make a new batter"Winter said and grabbed another bowl, Karina pouted before following Winter

"Now I'm regretting asking you to make a cake with me"Karina said and Winter shook her head

"Come on now, we still have time to bake it and we can eat it later after dinner"Winter said and Karina only nodded

After a few minutes of going back and forth, they finally put the batter mixture into a pan and put it into the oven. Luckily they didn't burn the cake and took it out just in time
