"Mi lord, where are you?"

Martyn walked around the palace of Dogwarts, searching for the King, Ren. He hadn't seen the King for a while now, and he was starting to get worried on where he was. Walking throughout the large palace, Martyn spotted someone, but it wasn't who he was searching for.

"Skizz? Do you knew where King Ren might be by any chance?" Martyn asked, stopping the dark-haired male in his tracks. Skizz looked at him, trying to remember if he saw the King lately.

"Uhm, I'm pretty sure that I saw him going outside earlier, why?" Skizz asked.

"Oh, I'm just trying to find him, thanks Skizz." With a wave and a quick thanks, Martyn started to walk away, heading outside.

The air was cool, cold against Martyn's usual warm skin. He shivered slightly, walking on the bridge, staring at the sky. Keeping an eye out, he saw Ren a few feet down from him. Martyn climbed down, slowly walking towards the King. Ren was slouched slightly, and it seemed like he thought that no one could find him like this, but Martyn did.

"There you are, mi'lord. I've been looking for you for the past 10 minutes!" Martyn called. Ren jumped, he hadn't been expecting anyone to find him out here. Ren straightened back up, clearing his throat before starting.

"Me hand, why were you looking for me?" Ren's voice echoed throughout the clear night sky. Martyn walked over and sat down, sitting next to his King.

"Nothing really, I just didn't know where you were." Martyn replied, picking at the grass below him.

"What are you doing here, anyway?" Martyn asked the King.

"Oh, even I don't know," Ren laughed "I guess I just wanted to be outside for a bit." Martyn nodded, understanding the need to go outside.

"I mean, it is good to go outside and get some fresh air." Martyn said, Ren nodding along and agreement. Martyn turned to look at Ren. His yellow - usually blue/brown eyes - were completely distracted by watching the night sky above them. Unknowingly, Ren reached out his hand and held Martyn's hand. Martyn froze. He hadn't been expecting that.

After a few awkward moments of silence, Ren seemed to notice that he was holding Martyn's hand, and froze.

"Oh, uh, sorry about that, I guess that I didn't know what I was doing.." Ren started to take his hand away from Martyn's but Martyn stopped him.

"It's fine mi'lord. You can hold my hand if you really want to." Martyn smiled lightly, with Ren placing his hand on top of Martyn's once again.

"Also, you don't have to call me 'mi'lord' you know? You can just call me Ren."

"Really? Are you okay with that?"

"Of course, Martyn."

Martyn smiled. Ren had found someone to trust, and somehow, it was him. Ren placed a hand on Martyn's waist, which caused Martyn's face to heat up. Ren smiled, pulling Martyn closer to him.

"Ren? What are you doing?" Martyn was clearly confused at whatever Ren was doing. Before he knew it, Ren leaned forwards and kissed Martyn. Martyn was taken aback for a moment, but he kissed back. For a few moments, time seemed to stop right then and there, as all Ren and Martyn had were each other in those few moments.

When the pulled away, Ren laughed, and Martyn was blushing like an idiot. He turned his head away, but not before Ren had kissed him on cheek, which only made Martyn blush more. Looking back at Ren, he saw that Ren seemed to be studying him closely, and his head was tilted slightly. Reaching out, Martyn started to scratch behind Ren's ears, and it seemed that Ren really enjoyed that, his tail thumping, and his face glowing of happiness. Pulling Martyn forward, Ren rested his head against Martyn's chest as he stared back up at the night sky, eventually looking back up and kissing Martyn again. Martyn responded to that by kissing Ren all over the face, in which the King laughed while he did that.

"I love you, Martyn."

"I love you too, Ren."

It was just the Kind and his Hand, and they needed nothing more than that.
