There were quite a few people now listening to the argument. Sloane turned to see Draco and Blaise trying frantically to make their way through the crowd as Pansy's face turned a horrible shade of red. Sloane could feel her fear and panic. She was trapped.

"Tell us, Pansy," Astoria smirked. "Where were you that weekend -"

"She was with me," Sloane said quickly. "I don't know why you think it was such a big secret Astoria," she smiled at the blonde but really she wanted to kick her. "Pansy had to look after me as I had a stomach bug. I was really unwell. That's why she had to go and get Madame Pomfrey in the middle of the night. I was feeling horrific."

Astoria was frozen now as the crowd tutted and rolled their eyes at the lack of story. "No," she argued. "She couldn't have been. She was away for days."

"In isolation," Sloane shrugged. "I had to stay in bed for 48 hours and Pansy was my aid. She stayed with me and so she had to isolate too so as not to spread the bug to anyone else. School policy. I'm sure it was awfully boring for her but she did it anyway. Because she is a nice person."

Pansy sighed and even smiled at Sloane. "I was helping Sloane. I owed her after being so horrible to her. See unlike you I am not just some spoiled little bitch." Pansy stepped closer to Astoria, the barrier having no effect on her. "Now why don't you run along back to daddy, before you get yourself in trouble."

"But I'm not finished yet," Astoria said turning back to Sloane.

"Yes you are," Draco said finally making it through the crowd and now standing with his arm around his girl. "No one actually wants you here Astoria. I know you weren't on the guest list so fuck off before I have you escorted off the property."

Astoria made puppy dog eyes and looked up at Draco. "You're only saying that because she is here," she pointed to Sloane. "I don't know what hold she has on you but -"

"It's love," Draco shrugged. "I love her. I despise you and even if I was single I wouldn't be interested in you. I have taste and class." Astoria tried to take a step but the barrier from the spell forced her back. Draco laughed. "That spell is awesome," he smiled. "I wonder if your uncle could extend it so I don't ever have to hear her whiney voice again either?"

"Ohh let's go ask him," Blaise laughed. "Could be add me to the spell? Just because I can't stand her. I mean no one should have to be subjected to that tramps shrill squeak."

"Blaise!" Astoria pouted.

"See, right there," he pointed to her. "Just makes my balls want to jump back up inside me." She shivered. "Let's go," he shoved Draco towards Kingsley who was passing and the boys headed off.

Sloane turned to Astoria wondering what she would spew next but she could see a dash on blonde in her peripheral. "I'm not going anywhere without you love," Draco caressed her cheek and pulled her away with him, leaving a defeated and depressed looking Astoria behind. Sloane could feel the sorrow washing over her. There wasn't anger any more but she was still glaring at her as she turned and walked off and Draco swung his arm protectively around her.

Poor Harry who had heard the conversation, gave a shiver at the thought that he was ever in Astoria's thoughts. The girl gave off nothing but bad energy and although Harry had never had many dealings with her before he knew enough about her to know he was better off. He turned to watch Hermione as she chatted to Angelina Johnston, George's date and introduced her to Daphne. He had never appreciated or loved his girlfriend more. She was bloody perfect. It still amazed him that this girl was right in front of him since he was 11years old and he took so long to see how truly amazing she was. He always knew she was special, and beautiful but he always told himself she was Ron's crush and he saw her nothing more than a friend. And he believed it himself. But there was always something there. Since there time alone in the tent, while on the run. The nights they would spend talking, huddled by the fire to keep warm, sharing blankets. The way she would lean against him as they talked long into the night. How she followed him blindly, the most loyal of anyone, never wavering in her faith in him. Hermione was always there for him, knew everything about him and shared all her secrets with him.
