(Catnap's POV)
It had been a couple of hours, we decided to just relax in Dogday's room until something eventually happened, and thankfully, something actually did happen.
Neko came into the room, rubbing his eyes as he groaned softly, turning his head to me as he fiddled with the zipper on his jacket.
"Catnap...? Can we go do something...? I'm bored..." Neko asked as he looked at me and Dogday like we were his parents.
"...What do you think, Dogday?" I asked as Dogday gave me a simple shrug before speaking, his tail wagging as he spoke.
"I guess it would be nice, maybe we could go to the park?" Dogday suggested as Neko seemed to like that idea a lot.
"Oh, oh! Yes please! The park's fun!" Neko exclaimed happily, jumping up and down in excitement, his tail swaying around in the air.
"Well, if we're going to be traveling... We're gonna need this." I stated as I reached around in my pocket, pulling out a leash as Neko put it on himself.
"W- Wha- HUH?! You're putting him on a leash?! That's so discriminating!" Dogday exclaimed as I laughed a bit, Dogday clearly misunderstood...
"No, no, Dogday... It's for my protection... I think..." Neko stated as he smiled softly, you really can't go a few minutes without Neko doing something childish, even making a sentence...
"Yeah, it's so this lil' guy doesn't go running off, we can't have Neko stray out in the wild..." I explained as Dogday still seemed a bit on edge, but he eventually complied.
"Oh, also, the hell were you two doing a couple days ago...? I get I was asleep, but were you guys having a pillow fight or something...?" Neko asked as me and Dogday stood there, looking at each other and blushing.
"Yes." Dogday said as Neko responded with a simple "Right..." before turning to walk out of the door.
I followed Neko as Dogday eventually followed me, the 3 of us began walking through the neighborhood in a small group, Neko constantly pointing out things he liked or noticed.
"Ooh, what's that thing?" Neko asked as pointed to a street sign, something he surprisingly had never seen before...
"That's a street sign, Neko, it glows and lights up, just as a sign..." I gave a very brief and choppy explanation as Neko seemed fixated on it.
He was so fixated, he couldn't help but constantly stare at it as he almost crossed a crosswalk when he wasn't mean to.
"A- Ack...!" Neko choked a bit as I had to pull him back, he grabbed at his throat as he looked at me in annoyance.
"What was that for...?!" Neko asked as I pointed to the crosswalk, and the oncoming cars as he looked to still be quite annoyed.
"You almost jaywalked, I had to stop you." I explained as Neko grumbled a bit as he leaned on Dogday's shoulder, yet Dogday's tail surprisingly started wagging quite a bit.
Although it was probably because Neko was purring, right in Dogday's ear as he constantly shivered a bit, Dogday was probably suffering mentally right now...
We were finally able to cross as I pulled Neko gently, he went back to following me as Dogday trailed us from behind.
"Hey, Catnap?" Dogday started, to which I replied with "Yeah?", continuing to walk along the sidewalk as I saw the park in the distance.
"What does Neko even do at the park...? I usually use the swings, or run around..." Dogday asked as I thought about it for a bit.
"He usually climbs stuff, yet he also for some reason enjoys tormenting others, but not so much as to be disturbing the peace." I explained as Dogday nodded after listening to me ramble on for a bit.
"Alright, as long as he doesn't cause any problems...-" Dogday spoke, but as a group of people our aged passed us, one of them unfortunately grazed Neko's shoulder.
I tried staying calm, but my blood ran cold when I felt the rope of the leash tug against itself as Neko stopped walking, and I prepared myself for the worst.
"Watch where you're walking, bud." One of them said as Neko turned around almost immediately.
"Neko, no...!" I tried retaliating as I tugged on the leash, forcing Neko to be pulled back as he growled to himself in absolute anger.
"Dogday, hold him back or something!" I shouted as Dogday ran in front of Neko, pushing him back gently as he increasingly got more and more angry.
With a loud yelp, Neko broke free from the leash as I heard a snap, I fell backwards and Dogday got pushed out of the way by Neko as Neko ran towards the group.
"SAY THAT AGAIN, YOU BASTARD!" Neko screamed at the top of his lungs as he punched one of the group members directly in the back of the head, knocking them out as they fell to the ground.
Me and Dogday rushed to Neko's sides as we held his arms back, dragging him backwards as he continued to squirm and try to break free.
"We're so very sorry, he can't control himself! He has anger issues, we swear!" Dogday made up an excuse as the rest of the group looked shocked and angry.
"BASTARDS, MOVE!" Neko screamed as he suddenly gained a whole lot of strength and threw us off of him, there was practically no stopping him at this point...
Dogday tried to rush back in, but I grabbed his shoulder and brought him back to me, holding him close to me.
"There's nothing we can do, just hope they make it out in one piece..." I mumbled as Dogday tried squirming out of my grasp.
"We can't just sit here and expect Neko to make it out of this unscathed!" He retaliated, but I simply had to remind him...
"Not Neko... The others..." I explained as Dogday settled down immediately, now understanding what dangers Neko could cause...
