(Catnap's POV)

I slowly opened my eyes as the light of the sun crept into the window, basically blinding me, I slowly sat up as I looked around to see Dogday in bed...

"Dogday, where's Neko?" I asked as Dogday sat up as he looked at me confused, rubbing his eye.

"Catnap, that's... That's not funny." Dogday said as he looked at me with a seriously disappointed face.

"What? I just want to know where he is...?" I asked as Dogday growled a bit while staring at me.

"Catnap, you douchebag... Neko died a long time ago, don't you remember?" Dogday said as my heart dropped.

By dropped, I mean it DROPPED all the way down to my foot, was Dogday being serious...? This can't be right...

"He got hit by a car when we were walking out on the street a couple years ago." Dogday said as he continued to stare at me.

I began breathing heavily as I held my head in my hands, there's no fucking way... I... I lost Neko...?

I LOST... I LOST NEKO?!

"Catnap..." Dogday muttered softly.

I looked at him as parts of his face began to lose color, turning to a white void as he spoke again.

"Catnap...! Wake up..." Dogday said softly, his voice was becoming more and more muffled by the second.

"Catnap!" Dogday yelled as I opened my eyes, jolting upwards as Neko jumped and scurried out of the room, sort of screaming.

"Jesus Christ, Catnap! We thought you died in your sleep!" Dogday muttered as he stood over me, his hands were on his hips as I stood up and ran out of the room.

"Neko! Where are you?!" I shouted as Neko ran into me, making us both fall down.

"Ow..." Neko winced as he rubbed his head and looked at me as I stood up, I stared at him intensely as I almost began crying.

"My god... I thought you died..." I muttered as Neko stood up, repositioning his beanie as he looked at me in confusion.

"What...? Catnap, you know I'm immortal..." Neko muttered as his head tilted when he looked into my eyes.

"You had a nightmare, didn't you...?" Neko asked as I nodded, my breathing was sharp and laggy, I was almost about to feint...

"Hey, let's just go get some breakfast, alright? I tinkered with reality a bit, school's closed for today." Neko muttered as Dogday walked past me, patting me on the back as he held out some water.

"Want this?" Dogday asked as Neko stepped back, staring at the water bottle intently as he backed away continuously.

"No... I'll have some coffee, it normally helps me wake up when I'm tired..." I mumbled as I rubbed my eye, calming down a bit.

"Alright, I have some left over coffee in a cabinet somewhere, you sure you're okay...?" Dogday asked as I nodded with a simple "Mhm..."

A couple minutes later

"Alright, seems like you're both well fed!" Neko exclaimed as he proudly stood at the dining table we were sitting at, I finished some bacon Neko made me, he made Dogday some waffles.

"Oh, that reminds me, Neko, how about you tell Catnap about that 'premonition' of yours?" Dogday said as Neko stopped smiling.

"Well... Catnap..." Neko mumbled as he turned to me awkwardly.

"I swear, there's a group out there that's exactly like us, even with the same friends! Just... Not with me..." Neko mumbled as I giggled a bit.

"Nekooooo...~ Is your schizophrenia acting up again?~" I teased as Neko laughed a bit, looking at my cold cup of coffee.

"What's that stuff?" Neko asked as his tail swayed left and right as he stared at the coffee mug intently.

"Just coffee, you want some?" I asked as Neko nodded happily.

I gave him the coffee mug as Neko took it graciously, hesitantly taking a sip of it as he placed the mug down, smacking his lips a bit.

"Hm... Bitter." Neko said as he suddenly jolted upwards, his pupils dilated as he smiled a bit, laughing hysterically.

"SCRAP THAT! IT'S AMAZING!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!" Neko laughed as he paced up and down, running in circles.

"A- Alright, Neko, calm down..." I muttered as I smiled awkwardly, Dogday backed up slowly as he stared at Neko.

"GOTTA RUN! I NEED TO GO HAVE SOME FUN!" Neko yelled as he got into a running stance and basically teleported out of the house due to how fast he was.

I panicked and ran towards the front door, looking to my right to see Neko with a bunch of wood and screws.

Is that... Galvanized steel...?

"NEKO ARE YOU BUILDING A FUCKING HOUSE?!" I shouted, Neko ran in circles so fast that dust and smoke began to cloud up my vision.

I coughed and swiped the smoke away as I looked at the newly constructed... House...? That's a huge fucking house...

I walked over to Neko who was panting, smiling as he looked at me, pointing to the new house.

"I built dat." Neko stated softly as he fell backwards, breathing softly as he fell into a deep sleep.

How many rooms are even in this...?
