(Kicken's POV)
"Everyone is sick...? Why am I not then?" I asked Neko as he shrugged, he sat down on the couch in the living room, I jumped over it and sat down with him.
"...Neko." I began.
"Hm?" He responded, he looked at me as he put his hands together, interlocking his fingers.
"There's something you aren't telling me about that whole jacket thing isn't there?" I asked, he didn't move, he simply kept staring at me.
"Cuz' I've taken my jacket off before, many times, nothing happened to me back then, so why do I suddenly get all mighty and powerful when I do it now?" I asked.
Neko smiled a bit when I asked that, it was obvious by now, Neko did something to me to make me stronger...
"Well, when I noticed the type of guy you were, you were always so high and full of yourself, so I knew, if someone like you had enough adrenaline, you'd be a beast." Neko explained.
"So I made your adrenaline build up increase by almost 10 times than normal when doing things like getting ready for a fight." Neko continued.
"So you tossing off your jacket increases your adrenaline, you're basically unstoppable." Neko finished.
"That doesn't make sense, how come my body is still standing after I'm done with a fight, even if I only FEEL stronger?" I asked Neko.
"Haha! Please, with too much adrenaline like what you and I have, your body basically regenerates itself! You're even indestructible at times!" Neko laughed.
I processed his words, was this true? Was he being serious? Why me? Because I'm violent??
Then, I went back to what he said before...
"Well, when I noticed the type of guy you were, you were always so high and full of yourself, so I knew, if someone like you had enough adrenaline, you'd be a beast."
The type of guy I was...? Full of myself... What is that meant to mean...?
My ego? My will?
Is that it?
"Spot on." Neko said, almost as if he was reading my mind, flicking his finger at me, smirking a bit.
"Your will, your ego and your passion, it's amazing, Kicken." Neko said, I took in what he was saying, understanding what he meant now.
"You're almost on par with me, without my abilities of course." Neko finished.
"...Speaking of abilities, how long have you had them?" I asked, Neko shrugged when I asked him this, not even he knew... Wow.
"If you're able to give me adrenaline build ups and stuff... What if I had powers like you?" I asked, Neko simply stared at me when I said that.
A smile crept on his face as he continued looking at me.
...No way.
"Do... Do I already have powers...?" I asked as Neko nodded slowly, snapping his fingers slowly, giving me a hint.
I snapped my fingers, I could feel a rush of power and stamina building up in me, reaching my head and beyond.
Nothing changed about my physique, I didn't get any extra muscle or anything, but something was different about me.
I looked at Neko again, but something was off about him... Something looked different.
I looked all around him, his jacket, his clothes, his ears, beanie, eyes...
Wait...
EYES?!
Neko smiled a bit when he realized I could see his eyes, dried blood faded away from his eye sockets as he scraped it off.
"There was a reason I went to Japan you know." Neko said as I began to realize what he meant.
Neko didn't go to Japan because he was mad... He simply needed a reminder on how to utilize a power of his...
I was so excited, I took a step forward, but that's when I realized, I was faster...
REALLY faster actually, I could see yellow sparks fly off of me every time I took a step now...
"This... This is insane!" I blurted, being able to circle the couch around 5 times a second now.
Neko grabbed me and sat me back down on the couch, he put his legs to his chest before he spoke.
"Don't forget, the more you snap, the better your power becomes, but don't strain yourself." Neko explained, I nodded as I snapped my fingers on my other hand, feeling my power go back to normal.
"The trick is, everybody has this power in themselves, hidden by their true colors and personalities." Neko said.
"You just have to meet the right conditions, meet the right people, and you too can become like me." Neko continued.
"You could be a god." Neko ended.
