(Catnap's POV)

Me and Dogday relaxed on the couch, cuddling each other as we watched tv, Dogday was humming to himself softly as the day aged, the sun setting outside.

"Can't believe we gotta go back to school tomorrow... I'm not gonna skip though, I need to learn stuff in psychology..." Dogday groaned, I thought the same, wanting to know what psychology was even about.

I looked up out of instinct and saw something standing atop the stairs, they looked to be legs, but there was a blanket draped around them.

They slowly walked down as Neko entered the room, rubbing his eyes as he slowly looked at us.

Neko's eyes widened when he saw us together, and I immediately thought he was going to get angry again, since I'm practically the only one he has left.

He was wrapped in the blanket, he looked very sleepy, looking like he was about to pass out from exhaustion, and I only had 2 things in mind at the moment...

1. How do I make Neko happy again?

2. What fucking time is it???

I looked at the clock and noticed that the time said "11:00 PM", an hour past Neko's bedtime, I almost immediately panicked as I sat up.

Dogday laid down on his back on the other side of the couch, Neko grasping the blanket around him tightly, trying his best to not lose his shit.

"N- Neko...? Why are you still up?" I asked slowly as Neko stared at me blankly, looking like he was about to panic any second now.

"I just wanted some water..." Neko said softly as he backed up towards the stairs, walking back up as he wrapped the blanket around him again.

"W- Wait! Neko!" I tried stopping Neko from walking upstairs, but he didn't listen as I heard him enter his room, closing the door and locking it.

"...Is he coming back...?" Dogday asked as I shook my head and sat down next to him, he crawled into my lap as he held my face in his hands.

"Hey, it's okay... You just have to tell him we're not a thing, he'll understand, I'm sure of it..." Dogday said softly as he caressed my cheek gently.

"I'm just hoping he doesn't end up wearing pajamas when he wakes up tomorrow..." I mumbled, Dogday looking confused.

"Pajamas? He wears pajamas? What do they mean?" Dogday asked as I laid down and brought Dogday closer to me, hugging him.

"Well it either means it's going to take a lot of effort to make him like me again, or he's planning on staying inside, away from everyone for the whole day..." I explained as I heard shuffling upstairs, perking my ears up.

I heard a drawer close and shut multiple times, the type of drawer used for clothing, it was coming from Neko's room.

"...He's putting pajamas on isn't he?" Dogday asked as I nodded and groaned, I knew Neko could be a pain sometimes, but this is seriously too much...

Dogday noticed my annoyance, and held my face before speaking, his tone and touch being softer than ever.

"Hey, hey... Don't worry about it, you said his brain isn't fully developed, right?" Dogday asked as I nodded.

"Well, that basically makes him a kid still, and this is the type of stuff you'll have to deal with when you have actual kids..." Dogday explained as I looked confused, wondering where he was getting at.

"Point is, you should take note of these experiences, and hey, this might even be better than what you'll actually go through in the real deal." Dogday said, making me giggle a bit as he laughed with me.

"Well... I guess... I wanna go to my room? My bed's a lot comfier than this couch." I asked as Dogday nodded, sitting up as he quickly ran upstairs.

I followed him as we made our way to my bedroom, closing and locking the door behind us once we made it inside.

"Man, your stuff never ceases to amaze me..." Dogday mumbled as he stared at my bed, he clearly liked the look of it.

He walked over and laid down on one side, as I laid down on the other, he felt around for a bit before turning to me.

"What is this stuff made out of...?" Dogday asked as I he pulled the blankets over me and himself.

"Just Cotten and fiber, and the same material used to make sponges so flexible." I explained as Dogday nodded, hugging me by my side.

He wrapped his arms around my waist as he cuddled into the covers, I kissed the top of his head before burying myself in the blankets as well...

Maybe I'll just leave tomorrow's problems to tomorrow's me...
