(Catnap's POV)

I slowly opened my eyes to see Neko in bed with me and Dogday, it was in the middle of the night, and the blinds were for some reason closed...

I guess the moon's light was getting in Neko's eyes... But then why didn't he just turn around to face me...?

Well actually, he probably wants Dogday to feel loved and cared for... He can't stand having to weigh his options out between two people like me and Dogday...

The sounds of crickets outside and the soft, quiet ambiance of nature were so calming at times like these...

I always liked sleeping, I never wanted to wake up in the morning unless I was teasing Dogday or something...

It was very easy to fall back asleep, I closed my eyes and went back to purring myself to sleep, wrapping my tail around my own legs as I cuddled Neko closer to me.

I always had a habit of whining softly when I hugged someone closer to me, it was like a natural reflex, and I don't really know why it even happened.

I began breathing softly as I went back to sleep, listening to the sweet, soft sounds of nature as everything started to quiet down, I then finally lost consciousness and went into a deep sleep...

A few hours later

I woke up again to my face feeling somewhat wet, I felt something brushing against my cheek a couple times as I slowly opened my eyes.

I opened my eyes and looked to my left as I saw a glimpse of what seemed to be Neko in his jacket, his beanie was covering one third of his face, and his hair was messy.

He was gently licking at my face, something he usually did to make me smell like ginger as a joke, his breath always had a side effect of having the scent of ginger, so I assumed he was trying to prank me again.

"Neko... What're you doin'?" I said softly as I held Neko's face in my hand, he shuddered a bit when I spoke, he clearly wasn't expecting me to wake up...

"O- Oh...! You're finally up... Good morning, Catnap..." Neko muttered nervously, scratching the back of his neck as he adjusted his beanie and straightened his hair.

"What were you doing to me...?" I asked as Neko blushed a bit and sat up, tossing the blankets off of himself.

"J- Just trying to wake you up... I decided to make breakfast for you and Dogday this morning, and Dogday said that since I did that, he had a special treat for me..." Neko explained.

"And he said that as soon as you got done eating, we could both go enjoy it..." Neko went on, I looked down at my lap to find bacon, one of my favorite breakfast foods.

"Oh, well thank you, Neko!" I exclaimed softly as I gave a few scratches under Neko's chin, his tail wrapped around mine as I quickly ate, not wanting to keep Neko or Dogday waiting.

A minute later

I finished eating as I wiped my mouth with my hand, picking up my plate as Neko sat up after laying down for a bit.

"Are we ready to go down?" Neko asked as I nodded, he smiled a bit and opened Dogday's bedroom door, letting me go down first.

I walked downstairs and immediately went into the kitchen, placing my plate in the sink as I put some soap on the plate and washed it for a couple of seconds.

I finished washing the plate as I placed it on the counter next to me, walking into the living room as I sat down on the couch, Dogday was already sitting down on the opposite side of the couch.

"Alright Neko and Catnap, I've got a special surprise for both of you being so caring towards each other, including to me as well." Dogday stated, holding his hands behind his back.

"What is it? I wanna know!!" Neko exclaimed excitedly as Dogday giggled and pulled out a small baggie with a sun symbol on it.

"Hm? What's in that?" I asked as Dogday giggled once again, his tail wagging and thumping against his couch.

"You'll see, this'll be fun!~" Dogday expressed as he took out another identical baggie and threw the first bag directly at Neko, making a small cloud of smoke explode in his face.

Neko coughed a bit, but when he opened his eyes as the smoke cleared, his pupils were dilated, his tail wouldn't stop swaying around happily, and he looked a whole lot more sleepy... HAPPY sleepy...

Neko quietly meowed to himself as he curled his legs up to the chair he was sitting on, he scratched at the sleeve of his jacket as he licked his arm.

"I- IS THERE CATNIP IN THAT...?!" I shouted, scaring Neko as Dogday giggled again, smiling softly as he raised the other baggie behind his head.

"D- Dogday, don't you dare-" I ordered, but Dogday threw the baggie at my face, and the last thing I saw was a purple cloud of catnip explode in my face...
