Chapter 59

Ahaan

A ghost of her kiss haunts my lips, sending shivers down my spine whenever it resurfaces in my mind. Trapped in the office, I strategize, determined to craft the perfect city tour for my new bride.

After giving her a tour of the small apartment. I let her rest and rushed back to the office to do the damage control.

Reyaan came and informed me that our PR team was in the meeting room. Pushing the thought of my Angel aside for a while, I moved towards the meeting room.

I offered a wave and a 'good morning' to the team as I made my way to my seat.

The tension was visible on their faces. PR head started giving the brief of what went down and how can we handle this.

It took us a few hours to sort things out with what Rana did. "Send all the photos to the media of the time when he was making the allegation that I was in a relationship with his daughter."

By the time I headed back to the office, it was late evening and my body was exhausted.

I just shut down my system when Reyaan knocked on the door.

"Come in"

"Sir..." The hesitation in his voice said what he couldn't

"I know, this matter would have been handled over a call. I just wanted to surprise my wife." I said while collecting the papers.

"Okay sir, Good night" He left without another question

Unlocking the door, a wave of relief washed over me as I saw her curled peacefully on the sofa, the flickering light of the TV casting a gentle glow on her face.

Tonight was supposed to be for us, but she looked so breathtaking slumbering there. Maybe our plans can wait for another night.

A soft hand brushed against my face, stirring me from sleep. I blinked open my eyes to find Ahaana beaming at me with a gentle smile. Moonlight streamed through the window, bathing her face in an ethereal glow.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to wake you up?" She whispered, her voice laced with concern.

A smile tugged at my lips as I shook my head "Actually, you were the one I was dreaming about." My fingers brushed against her cheek as I tucked a stray curl behind her ear. "Beautiful dreams, I might add."

The urge to hold her close, to shield her from the world's cruelty with my embrace, intensified as she blushed.

"How was the meeting that we came here for?" her voice is laced with concern.

"The meeting was good, I handled what needed to be."

"What time is it?" I asked staring at her.

"it's half past nine. Why? Are we leaving already?" Her gaze darts around the room, studiously avoiding mine.

"I didn't plan all this, just to leave in a few hours." I sat up on the sofa and gathered her in my arms.

Her eyes were wide, "What do you mean by you planned all this?"

"I asked you where you want to go for your honeymoon, but you never answered. So, I took the responsibility to myself. But, I couldn't find a place. One day Dadi suggested I take you to Paris. And then it so happened that Reyaan called on our wedding day regarding this matter. Since, I am familiar with the place, and also because whenever we will visit Paris after this, it will hold a lot of memories." I explained caressing her hair.

"But Reyaan called suddenly about that problem?" Her mind wheels are running faster

"Because before he called I didn't know how to take you here and not be so obvious about it. I just wanted to surprise you." She snuggled more into me.

"so, what is the surprise" She teased, her voice a husky whisper.

And that voice sends a pleasant shiver down my spine, taking control over my emotion, I cleared my throat.

"Well," I grinned, taking her hand as I pulled towards the bedroom, "it wouldn't be much of a surprise if I told you, would it?"

After convincing her to change without revealing the surprise, we left for the restaurant where I planned to go with her.

A few hours later, I stopped the car in front of a quaint, candlelit restaurant. The air buzzed with soft music and gentle chatter, promising a romantic evening.

Her eyes sparkled in the soft light as she took in the scene. "This is beautiful, Ahaan. Thank you."

I pre-booked a corner table to have some privacy with my beautiful new bride, the flickering candlelight casting warm shadows on our faces. The menu offered a delectable selection of dishes, but I couldn't help but be more captivated by the woman sitting across from me. I leaned a bit as she was focusing on the menu, "Did I tell you that you look beautiful in this dress."

Her breath visibly hitched, her hands faltered on the page, She cleared her throat and stared right into my eyes, "I would have remembered if you would have said." Heat surged through her, igniting a flush that stained her cheeks red.

Ahh! I love the effect I have on her, and the good thing is that she is not even aware of the effect she has on me.

The evening was lost in conversation, reminiscing about funny stories and sharing hopes and dreams for the future. Every shared smile, every stolen glance across the table, made my heart beat a little faster.

Her laughter mingled with the soft music, creating a melody to my ear. As we walked out hand-in-hand under the starlit sky, the unspoken words hung heavy in the air. The evening had solidified our connection, a silent promise of a love story waiting to unfold.
