The news made me feel weird things which I can't even name and that is frustrating. The whole night I kept tossing and turning trying to figure out what I felt and after overthinking like that is my job, I came with nothing.

I reached the office and saw Mira was already there sitting and scrolling through her phone, "what are you doing, is everything okay?" keeping my purse on the side table I sat down

"Hello babe, my boss is not here, so I thought I could spend some time with you" Placing a take-out bag from McDonald's on the table she raised her brows.

"Okay, so Mr. Malhotra is not in the office"

"Naah, even he is not in the country" Shuffling with the bag of McDonald's she replied

"Ohh, so he left for Paris" My heartbeat is a little faster than usual

"Yeah, stop talking and eat the burgers they are so good" She takes a full-mouth bite of paneer makhani burger

Grabbing the other one I took a bite and the man tasted so good "Is he getting married?" my voice sounded different from  when the question came out

"He is getting married but not to Ananya Rana" Aryan came inside the office took a seat beside Mira and started eating the fries.

"How come you always come at unusual times" Swatting his hand I took the fries

"Naah, how come it's unusual when you asked a question I answered it" he quirked his brows

"Who he is getting married to, I don't know he was dating somebody as such" Mira asked

"Ummm...that's a great question which I can't answer so sorry guys" holding up his hands as he surrenders in front of the police

"Ok, so he is getting married to someone we don't know" I tried to not sound so affected by putting marriage and him with another person in the same sentence.

Now I am annoyed by the way I have started behaving like a lunatic but I don't understand why.

"Actually... may be..." his answer is cryptic

"Okay, so maybe we know this person he is getting married to so it means she is from this office, but I don't know anyone who is that close to him" Mira frowned

Before Aryan could say something his phone rang and he left

"Who he is getting married to" Mira is still looking at her burger frowning like it will answer her question.

"Let's finish this and get back to work, he is not here today but he will be back someday, before the tiger eats us alive let's do some work" I tried to distract Mira so that she wouldn't keep saying the same thing which is making me feel weird.

"Ohh, with all of this, I forgot I brought coffee also" She took out the coffee from the bag and handed me one.

"Thank you so much, you are a sweetheart" I gave her a flying kiss and swatted it in the air like there was a fly. Bish!

After finishing our meal, we bid goodbyes like we won't be just after 4 hours for lunch.

After coming here, I can see changes in myself, it was always hard for me to make friends, and that was the reason I never had friends, even with my classmates, I always used to think before I spoke, but with Mira and Aryan It's different, I feel I have some kind of connection with them.

I can speak my mind with them, is it because they are not aware of the truth?

Would they judge me if they knew my truth, but Aryan knows the truth and he didn't change after that, I just hope Mira also won't change. I am trusting my instinct that she is not going to change even after the truth, for a girl like me who has big trust issues, it's a big thing.

Touching my heart "Mumma, I hope everything will be fine" and I can hear Mumma saying indeed everything is going to be fine beta, just trust the process and have faith in your instincts after all they are your strength.
