Chapter 76

Ahana

Ryan Stepped back leaving Rana with the file. We exchanged glances waiting for Rana to open the file.

Rana, eyes wide with a mixture of terror and disbelief, stared at the file like a venomous snake poised to strike. A flicker of something akin to panic danced in his gaze, a stark contrast to the composed facade he'd maintained for far too long.

I couldn't help but smirk. The tide had finally turned. This meticulously constructed web of lies Rana had spun was unraveling at its seams, and I was witnessing its glorious unraveling in real-time.

All of us were focused solely on the trembling Rana. The silence stretched in the room as Rana opened the file with trembling hands. Rana goes through the file, and his breath becomes more rugged with every flip.

I stared at him and refused to look anywhere else now, his vulnerability was feeding my demons. He took his sweet time flipping through the pages and pictures. When he finally shut the file he threw it at me. I was not expecting it but Ahaan blocked it in time. "Never even think of doing that again Rana. I will kill you with my bare hands, Damn the law." Ahaan growled glaring at Rana.

Rana fumed with anger but he could do nothing now. All his life sins are now in the open. He can get angry as much as he wants, but we all know that he is trembling with anger now, no matter how much he tries to hide it. The fear in his eyes is very satisfying to see.

I never knew I could even think about hurting someone this badly. But after knowing about him and what he did with the people I love, I want to strangle him to death with my bare hands. But I guess this person doesn't deserve to be killed so peacefully. He deserves all the pain in the world.

After contemplating for a moment he was about to talk.

"Don't even think of lying, I want the whole truth." I glared at him and continued, My voice held all the viciousness, "If I sense a single lie in the story, I will allow these two to give you a slow and painful death." I gestured at Both Ahaan and Reyaan. I excluded Uncle Verma as he is the representative of the law. "You know what they will do, Don't you Rahul...oh! My bad...Rana?" I smirked.

He scowled, "Mai maan hin nahi sakta hun ki tm meri beti ho, meri beti aisa kabhi soch hin nhi skti hai. ye jarur tmhari maa ke kisi dusre..."

"I can't believe that you are my daughter, my daughter can never think like this. you must be from someone else your mother..."

"agar mai tmhari jagah hoti to, iss sentence complete karne se phle do baar sochti." I continued, "I dare you to complete that sentence" It was a warning for him.

"If it were me, I would think twice before finishing that sentence."

He visibly flinched at my words but concealed it perfectly. "You are right Rana, you are not my father...You are just a sperm donor." My voice was laced with a chilling calm.

I wonder how this foolish managed to fool so many people. He was shocked by my choice of words, as if he had a choice in this.

"Start, speaking, We don't have all the time in the world, and we all are running out of patience..." Ahaan and Reyaan growled lowly at the same time.

He took his sweet time knowing we all were running out of patience. Finally, he yelled, "Ok fine"

He started the story with how he met my maternal and then they became friends. They both started liking the same girl who is my aunt now. She married my uncle because of whatever reason she had but she played with both of them at that time. Rana decided to take revenge and his easiest target was his friend's younger sister. She was not aware of his real identity at that time. He had every intention of leaving my mother at the end. The plans changed when without informing him my mother spoke about him at home. So, when as per his plans he called my mother to take her on a short vacation, my mother informed him that her parents wanted to meet him. He couldn't have met them as they knew who he was. A fake name and fake story that he told my mother would expose his game.

His initial plan was to take my mother for a short vacation and leave her there as she would be gone for a few days her family and she would lose face in society and that would include his friend and his so-called lover.

So, in a panic situation, he planned his accident and left India with all the money he took from my uncle. But fate had other plans as after just a few years he came back to India for a meeting and there Ahaan's father and his path crossed.

"If I hadn't killed them, I would have been in jail." grinding his teeth he spoke.

What we have gathered from the story is that. It may have happened that, after the meeting, Rana was explaining to one of his friends how he fooled both my mother and her family. Although maybe Ahaan's father Kartik was not aware of who Rana was at the time but after listening to the whole story he did the calculation. After leaving her parent's house my mother didn't want to be a burden for anyone. She knew her friends would do anything for her but she decided to not ask for anyone's help.

When Ahaan's father was explaining all this to Ahaan's mother, unfortunately, Rana heard it.

He was already on the hit list of many people. He took money not only from my uncles but also from many influential people. "I heard them saying that they will leave for Delhi to confront your mother, so..." he sounded defeated now. if you ask me his situation is quite funny now. He is still trying to free himself from the chair where his legs are still tied. I can guarantee given the chance he will try to attack even now.

I laughed internally at his fruitless effort.
