A Month Before the Wedding

Lucius and Lorenzo walked through the grand halls of Malfoy Manor, their footsteps echoing on the polished marble floors. They were discussing the final arrangements for the upcoming wedding, their conversation a blend of practical details and lofty aspirations.

Lorenzo glanced at Lucius, a mischievous smile playing on his lips. "Lucius, I must ask, is the wedding going to be grand enough? A man of your stature deserves nothing less than a spectacle."

Lucius paused, his brow furrowing slightly. "Rosetta prefers a more intimate affair. It's what she wants, and I've agreed to it."

Lorenzo chuckled, a low, knowing sound. "Ah, letting the property decide, are we? Interesting approach for a man of your... distinction."

Lucius's pride bristled at the insinuation. He straightened, his eyes flashing with a mixture of defensiveness and ambition. "I am a Malfoy, Lorenzo. My status speaks for itself. But Rosetta is important to me. I respect her wishes."

Lorenzo's grin widened, his gaze sharp and appraising. "Of course, Lucius. But sometimes, one must assert their desires. A grand wedding would be a testament to your power and influence. Imagine the envy it would inspire. This wedding could easily make front page news."

Lucius considered Lorenzo's words, his pride warring with his commitment to Rosetta. He had always prided himself on his status and the respect it commanded. The idea of a grand, opulent wedding appealed to his vanity, a chance to showcase his power and legacy.

Lorenzo leaned in slightly, lowering his voice. "Imagine, Lucius, if we invited a few key members of the O.M.E. It would be an opportunity to forge new alliances and connections, to expand your influence even further."

Lucius's eyes narrowed thoughtfully. "That could be beneficial, but Rosetta only wanted friends and family there. She's very particular about the guest list."

"She may want something smaller," Lucius said slowly, his voice tinged with contemplation. "But perhaps there is a way to find a balance. Something that satisfies both her desire for intimacy and my need for grandeur."

Lorenzo nodded, his expression approving. "Now, that's the spirit. A true Malfoy knows how to merge the best of both worlds. Show her that you can honor her wishes while still asserting your presence."

Lucius felt a surge of pride, his mind racing with possibilities. He would make this wedding a perfect blend of Rosetta's simplicity and his own magnificence. It would be a testament to their union, a display of their combined strength and status.

"You're right, Lorenzo," Lucius said, his voice firm with determination. "I will ensure that this wedding is everything she dreams of, but it will also be a celebration worthy of the Malfoy name. I'll talk to Rosetta about including a few members of the Order. She may see the wisdom in it."

Lorenzo clapped him on the shoulder, a look of satisfaction in his eyes. "That's the Lucius I know. It will make this wedding a masterpiece. A vision of perfection befitting our order."

Malfoy Manor, Lucius and Rosetta's Study

Lucius sat at his ornate desk, going over the final details of the wedding. Rosetta entered the room, her expression warm but curious.

"Lucius, what's on your mind?" she asked, noticing the contemplative look on his face.

He looked up, his eyes meeting hers. "Rosetta, I've been thinking about the wedding. Lorenzo made a suggestion today that I believe has merit. He thinks we should invite a few key members of the Order. It could be a valuable opportunity to forge new alliances and connections."
