Press Conference

Grand Ballroom Converted into a Press Room

The grand ballroom was abuzz with activity. Reporters and photographers milled around, adjusting their equipment and exchanging notes. The room, filled with the chatter of anticipation, was adorned with banners and posters of Rosetta's campaign. Bright lights illuminated the stage, making it the focal point of the room.

Backstage, Rosetta stood in front of a mirror, taking deep breaths to steady herself. Lucius was by her side, his reassuring presence a calming force. Mattheo approached with a clipboard, his expression serious and focused.

"Rosetta, here are the key points you need to hit on," Mattheo said, handing her a neatly typed list. "These are crucial for tonight's press conference."

Rosetta scanned the list quickly, her eyes narrowing as she read. "Mattheo, some of these points... I didn't agree to them. They don't align with my values or my vision for this campaign."

Mattheo's gaze was unwavering. "I understand, Rosetta, but these points are strategic. They're what the wizarding community needs to hear right now. We can't afford to stray from the plan."

Rosetta felt a knot tighten in her stomach. She looked at Lucius, who met her eyes with a mixture of concern and support. "What do you think?" she asked him softly.

Lucius sighed, his hand resting gently on her shoulder. "I think you need to stay true to yourself, Rosetta. But I also understand the pressure you're under. Whatever you decide, I will support you."

Mattheo's eyes flicked between them, his impatience barely concealed. "Rosetta, we don't have time for this. You need to decide now."

Rosetta took a deep breath, her mind racing. She knew the importance of the press conference and the potential fallout of not following the prescribed points. But she also knew that compromising her values could have long-term consequences for her campaign and her integrity.

"Mattheo, I understand the strategy," she said finally, her voice firm. "But I can't go against my own beliefs. I'll address the key points, but I need to do it my way."

Mattheo's expression hardened, but he nodded curtly. "Fine. Just make sure you deliver."

Lucius squeezed her hand, giving her a reassuring smile. "You've got this, Rosetta."

With one last deep breath, Rosetta stepped out onto the stage. The room fell silent as the reporters and photographers turned their attention to her. She approached the podium, her heart pounding but her resolve firm.

"Good evening, everyone," she began, her voice steady. "Thank you for being here tonight. I'd like to address some key points regarding my campaign and vision for our future."

Rosetta glanced at the list in her hand, then back at the audience. "First and foremost, my commitment is to the wizarding community. I believe in transparency, accountability, and working together to create a better future for all of us."

Speech Excerpt: Key Points

"One of the most pressing issues we face is our magical economy. While some believe that reducing regulations for large wizarding corporations will stimulate growth, I firmly believe in supporting our small magical businesses and middle-class wizarding families. Fair wages and sustainable economic practices are crucial for long-term prosperity."

She paused, allowing her words to sink in before continuing. "Healthcare is another vital area where we need to focus our efforts. Privatizing aspects of St. Mungo's may seem efficient, but it risks leaving many without access to essential care. We must improve our public healthcare system, making it accessible and affordable for all wizards and witches, and invest in preventive care and mental health services."
