Chapter 13: The Silent Watcher

It was Jimin, and tae gave him a death glare before turning back to Hana.

Tae:  Spoke a little louder, catching Hana's attention. "My name is Kim Tae-hyung, my lady!"

Hana turned back, casting one last shy glance at him before starting to leave.

Tae:"Jiminaaaa!" called out dramatically, placing his hand over his heart. "I'm falling harder day by day!"

Jimin:  sighed in mock expression. "And I'm worrying and dying harder day by day!"

Tae: chuckled and reassured him, "Don't worry, Jimin. I'll keep you safe!"

Jimin:  Grinned. "I doubt it. Anyway, I'm going out with Yuna to buy her some things. She asked me to bring you along. Do you want to come?"

Tae:  Smiled warmly. "Yes, I will."

As they walked off together, Tae couldn't shake the image of Hana's shy glance, replaying their flirtatious exchange in his mind.

Later, Tae, Jimin, and Yuna met up to buy some things. Yuna, upon hearing about Tae and Hana's interactions, was surprised and happy for Tae.

Yuna: "Oppa, she doesn't know that you already know she's the princess?"

Tae: "Yes, I won't tell her until she tells me."

They bought some food and started eating. Yuna couldn't contain her excitement.

Yuna: "Why don't you bring her out, Oppa? She's already sneaked out so many times, she might come if you ask."

Jimin nearly choked on his food upon hearing Yuna's suggestion. He was shocked and frustrated.

Jimin: "You're becoming more like Tae every day. I'm already dealing with them in the palace like I'm their guard, not just a palace guard, and now you're telling him to bring her out?"

Tae: Ignored Jimin's frustration and turned to Yuna with a smile. "Should I do that? Will she come with me?"

Yuna:  Nodded excitedly. "Who will say no to my handsome brother?"

Jimin:  Sighed deeply. "I wash my hands of this. If he brings her out, I'm not taking responsibility." With that, he started to leave.

Tae and Yuna exchanged smiles and began following him as they headed home.

"Yuna's suggestion lingered in Tae's mind as he walked through the palace corridors the next day. He couldn't shake off the idea of inviting Hana out."

"Meanwhile, in her chambers, Hana paced nervously, her thoughts consumed by her encounters with Tae. She couldn't deny the flutter in her heart whenever she was around him."

Later that evening, Tae found himself in the palace gardens, a place secluded enough for a private conversation. He had sent a discreet message to Hana through Sojin, hoping she would agree to meet him. As he waited under the moonlit sky, he couldn't help but feel a mix of excitement and nerves.

Tae: Just as he was beginning to wonder if she would come, he heard soft footsteps approaching. Hana emerged from the shadows, her eyes widening slightly in surprise when she saw him.

Hana: "You wanted to see me, My Guard Tae-hyung?"

Tae: Smiled warmly, stepping closer to her. "Yes, my Lady!!. I thought it might be nice to take a walk outside the palace walls since you're already familiar with sneaking out."

Hana: "Really? And what makes you think I'll say yes?"

Tae: Chuckling softly, he replied, "Because I am your moonlight, and I have a place in mind that I want to take you. Meet me tomorrow afternoon. I promise to bring you back before anyone notices you're gone."

Hana couldn't help but wonder how Tae knew she called him moonlight, but before she could voice her thoughts, Tae stepped closer to her.

Tae: "My lady, don't dwell too much on how I know that name. I'm not just a guard. I'm a secret spy."

Hana: With a mischievous glint in her eye, she teased, "Oh really? A spy, you say?"

Tae: Grinning playfully, he nodded. "Indeed. And spies have their ways of uncovering secrets."

Hana: chuckled softly, feeling a mix of excitement and nervousness about their planned outing.

Hana: "Alright, moonlight. Bye for now!"

Tae: "Hana, you didn't say if you're coming or not."

As she walked away, Hana glanced back over her shoulder, a playful smile on her lips.

Hana: "You said you can read eyes, my guard. So you already know!"

Tae: Grinning, he replied, "I already know, so I'll wait for you then."

Hana: Blushing, she smiled and hurried off her heart racing.

Tae: Feeling elated about the time they would spend together tomorrow, he watched her leave with a contented smile.

As Hana disappeared, Tae's happiness was palpable. However, from a little distance away, someone was watching them intently from behind a tree.!!!!
