Days passed, One day, Jungkook didn't show up to college, and Mi-Rae found herself distracted. Her eyes kept scanning the hallways, her heart hoping for just one glimpse of him, but he was nowhere to be found.

During class, her gaze kept drifting to the door, half-expecting him to walk in with his usual grin and teasing attitude.

Yae-Jin: Noticing her distraction, leaned over with a smirk. "Are you looking for someone?"

Mi-Rae:  stiffened, trying to play it cool. "No, why would I look for him?" she muttered, flipping a page in her book as if deeply engrossed.

Yae-Jin: raised an eyebrow. "I didn't say him."

Mi-Rae's face turned a deep shade of pink, and she buried her head further in her textbook. Yae-Jin chuckled softly, returning her focus to the lecture.

Later in the canteen, Mi-Rae barely touched her food, her eyes still wandering around the room, hoping to see him. She didn't understand why she felt so restless.

Yae-Jin: nudged her playfully. "You know, if you're that worried, you could just ask Jimin where he is."

Mi-Rae shook her head stubbornly. "I'm not interested."

Yae-Jin: gave her a knowing smile. "Sure, whatever you say."

Frustrated with herself, Mi-Rae pushed her tray away. "I'm not hungry. I'm going to the library."

Yae-Jin: frowned, concerned. "You haven't eaten anything all day, Mi-Rae. Are you sure you're okay?"

But Mi-Rae didn't answer, already walking out.

In the quiet of the library, her mind raced. Why didn't he come today? she wondered. Why am I even thinking about him so much? No matter how hard she tried, she couldn't focus. His absence was unsettling.

Frustrated, she muttered under her breath, "This annoying bunny..."

The words came out louder than she intended, catching the attention of several students around her. Everyone looked up, startled by her sudden outburst.

Mi-Rae's eyes widened in embarrassment. "Sorry!" she stammered, bowing apologetically to the people nearby. She quickly gathered her things and bolted out of the library, her cheeks burning with shame.

The next day came, and once again, JK was nowhere to be seen. Mi-Rae couldn't shake the disappointment that settled over her. She decided to check the basketball court, hoping to find him there. Instead, she saw his friends playing without him.

Spotting Jimin, she walked over hesitantly.

Mi-Rae: "Hey, Jimin... Where's Jungkook?"

Jimin:  smirked, clearly amused. "Hey, Mi-Rae. He's got a fever, so he didn't come to college today." He paused, then added, "Missing him?"

Mi-Rae: her eyes widened, and she quickly shook her head. "No! I just... noticed he wasn't here, that's all."

Jimin:  laughed, shaking his head. "Sure, sure. I'll let him know you were worried."

Flustered, Mi-Rae waved her hands. "No, no, don't tell him!" She hurried away, her heart racing. She couldn't focus on her classes again and ended up leaving in the middle of the day.

The next morning, as she dragged herself to class, a gloomy expression on her face, someone suddenly tapped her shoulder. Startled, she turned around but found no one there. Confused, she was about to walk away when a familiar figure appeared right in front of her.

JK stood there, grinning mischievously. Mi-Rae flinched, caught off guard by his sudden appearance.

Mi-Rae: "Jungkook!"

Her heart skipped a beat. She couldn't help but smile, her mood instantly lifting. But as soon as she realised she was smiling, she forced it away, turning on her heel to walk to class.

Jungkook, noticing her reaction, chuckled, his eyes twinkling with amusement.

Jungkook: "Did you miss me, babe?"

Mi-Rae: "No! Who said that?"

Jungkook: "You don't need to say it. I can see it on your face." He grinned, clearly enjoying himself. "I've missed you too, by the way."

Mi-Rae tried to ignore him and started walking, but JK followed closely behind.

Jungkook: "Babe, you know, I still have a bit of a fever, but I came here just to see you."

Mi-Rae stopped, concern flashing across her face despite herself. She reached up, pressing the back of her hand to his forehead.

Mi-Rae: "You don't have a fever anymore."

JK smirked. "I know. I just wanted to see if you'd care."

Mi-Rae's eyes widened at his audacity, but she couldn't hide the smile creeping onto her lips. She shook her head, turning away to leave. But before she could take another step, JK gently grabbed her wrist, pulling her back into a hug.

Her heart raced, her body stiffening at the unexpected closeness.

JK leaned down, his voice low in her ear. "Babe, take all the time you need. But don't make me wait forever."

He pulled back slightly, just enough to place a soft kiss on her forehead. Mi-Rae's breath hitched, her pulse racing as butterflies erupted in her stomach.

JK gazed down at her, his expression playful.

Jungkook: "You should get to class before I decide to kiss you somewhere else."

Her face flushed instantly, and without another word, Mi-Rae turned and ran toward her classroom, her heart pounding in her chest.

Behind her, JK's laughter echoed in the hallway, and she couldn't help but smile despite her embarrassment.

As she sat in class, Mi-Rae's mind raced. She could no longer deny what she was feeling. Jungkook had gotten under her skin, and it was only a matter of time before she had to face the truth.
