Chapter 10: Secrets in Vanishing Letters

Determined to uncover the truth, Tae continued flipping through the pages, searching for any mention of who might be harming her. To his shock, the letters on the pages began to disappear before his eyes, as if the book itself was showing events that had not yet come to pass.

In the midst of disappearing, Jimin entered the room and noticed Tae's intense focus on the book. He saw the letters vanishing and the look of concern on Tae's face.

Jimin: "Tae, what's happening?" Jimin asked, his voice betraying his worry. "Why are the letters disappearing?"

Tae:  Looked up, his eyes reflecting a mixture of determination and confusion. "It's as if... these events haven't happened yet," he explained slowly. "This book seems to show glimpses of a future that hasn't unfolded. That's why the letters disappear when it comes to who's harming the princess—we simply don't know yet."

Jimin: Eyes widened in shock. "Princess? What do you mean, Tae?"

Tae: Took a deep breath. "The mysterious woman we saw at the palace... she's a princess. 

Jimin: Was stunned." How did you know it was her?"

Tae: Sighed, his gaze fixed on the painting. He turned to Jimin and pointed, "It's her, Jimin. The princess with the same eyes I've been talking about."

Jimin: His jaw dropped. "Tae, you're telling me you've fallen for a princess now? "Do you have a knack for getting us tangled up in royal messes?"

Tae: Grinned sheepishly. "I couldn't help it, Jimin. Her eyes are like two shiny stars in a moonless night." And you know, I heard she's been telling someone that I'm her moonlight."

Jimin: Chuckled, shaking his head in disbelief. "You're her moonlight now? Tae, next thing you'll be writing her sonnets and delivering them by carrier pigeon."

Tae: Shrugged, a mischievous glint in his eyes. "Hey, if it means getting on the good side of a princess, I'm willing to give it a shot. Maybe I'll even start wearing a cape."

Jimin: Laughed. "A cape? Tae, you're going full medieval romance on me now. Just don't forget to bow deeply every time you see her."

Tae: Pretended to bow dramatically. "My lady," he said in a mock courtly voice. "How do you fare on this fine day?"

Jimin: couldn't contain his laughter. "Oh, this is going to end in disaster, isn't it? One wrong move and we'll be banished from the kingdom forever."

Tae:  Grinned confidently. "Maybe she'll help us out, like she did today."

Jimin: Raised an eyebrow skeptically. "I don't know what she sees in you, that she helped us."

Tae:  Shrugged, a playful glint in his eye. "Maybe it's my irresistible charm or my impeccable manners."

Jimin: Sniffed. "More like she took pity on you because you looked like you were about to trip over your own feet in front of her."

Tae:  Pretended to be offended. "Hey now, my stumbling can be loveable"

Jimin: Chuckled. "Lovable?, sure. But don't count on her royal highness to bail us out every time."

Tae:  Grinned mischievously. Sure!!"Ah, yes, from now on, call me Prince Tae. I might even consider promoting you to a high-ranking officer or my personal guard."

Jimin: Rolled his eyes playfully. "Oh, please. Your Highness, I'm humbled by the offer, but I'll stick to being your trusty sidekick."

Tae: laughed. "Fair enough, loyal sidekick.

Jimin: Jokes a part, Tae" We need to be careful. If she's a princess, then we're dealing with powerful people and dangerous secrets."

Tae: His expression turned thoughtful. "True, but she seems to trust us enough to lend a hand. Maybe there's more to this than meets the eye."

Jimin: Raised an eyebrow skeptically. "Or maybe she just enjoys the thrill of sneaking around the palace with two mischievous intruders."

Tae: Grinned. "Hey, we bring excitement to her royal life!"

Jimin: chuckled. "More like chaos. But seriously, Tae, we can't rely on luck and her whims forever. We need a plan."

Tae: Nodded, his playful demeanor shifting to one of determination. "Agreed. Let's figure out who's after her and why. and why this secret place is mentioned in her hairpin?"
