After their steamy encounter, Jungkook and Mi-Rae found themselves wrapped in each other's warmth, laughter spilling from their lips as they recounted every detail of their passionate night. Each moment felt like a new adventure, and they embraced it with fervor.

Months turned into Years, and their relationship blossomed into something beautiful and intense. Their days were filled with playful teasing, spontaneous outings, and romantic surprises. They frequently found themselves lost in each other's arms, sharing soft kisses that turned heated as the nights wore on.

One evening, after a particularly passionate encounter, they lay tangled in the sheets, the room dimly lit by the warm glow of a bedside lamp. Mi-Rae nestled against Jungkook's chest, tracing her fingers over his abs.

"We should do this more often," she teased, looking up at him with a playful smirk.

Jungkook chuckled, his fingers playing with her hair. "I could definitely get used to this." He leaned down, capturing her lips in a tender kiss, deepening it until they were both breathless.

A few days later

Jungkook took a deep breath as he prepared to visit Mi-Rae's father. He had found a renowned doctor who specialized in her father's condition and wanted to share the news with them. As they arrived at Mi-Rae's home, she squeezed his hand, a mix of excitement and nerves dancing in her eyes.

When they entered the room, Mi-Rae's father looked up, his expression warm yet reserved. Despite his inability to speak, there was an undeniable connection in his gaze. Mi-Rae walked over to him, her voice gentle as she introduced Jungkook.

"Dad, this is Jungkook, my boyfriend," she said, her heart racing as she awaited her father's reaction.

Jungkook stepped forward, offering a sincere smile, his heart pounding in his chest. "It's an honour to meet you, sir." He paused, searching for the right words. "I hope to support Mi-Rae and you in any way I can."

Mi-Rae's father nodded slowly, a smile creeping onto his face. His eyes sparkled with a mix of pride and approval, and Mi-Rae felt a wave of relief wash over her.

"Dad, Jungkook found a great doctor for you," she added, her voice filled with hope. "He really thinks he can help."

Mi-Rae's father looked between them, his expression softening. Though he couldn't speak, he reached out and placed a hand on Jungkook's shoulder, a silent acknowledgement of trust and gratitude.

Everything is going great, but their moments of bliss weren't without challenges. Small arguments would occasionally flare up, often stemming from misunderstandings or jealousy.

One night, after a misunderstanding about Jungkook cancelling plans at the last minute, an argument erupted.

Mi-Rae: arms crossed, her voice sharp. "You could've just told me you were busy instead of leaving me waiting like an idiot!"

Jungkook: Running his hand through his hair in frustration. "I didn't mean to cancel like that, but I got caught up in work, and it wasn't intentional!"

Mi-Rae: hurt. "It's always work, Kook! I just wanted a little time with you. Is that too much to ask?"

Jungkook paused, his expression softening as he saw the genuine hurt in her eyes. He stepped closer, his voice low and sincere. "No, it's not too much to ask. I'm sorry, Mi-Rae. I should've been more thoughtful."

Mi-Rae sighed, her shoulders relaxing as her anger faded. "I just... I miss you when you're always working. I don't want to feel like I'm second place."

Jungkook wrapped his arms around her, pulling her into his chest. "You're not second place. You're my priority, and I'll do better. I promise."

They held each other tightly, the tension melting away as the love between them overcame the momentary frustration. Sometimes, the fights only made them realize how much they meant to each other.

It had been weeks since Jungkook promised Mi-Rae they'd have a night out—just the two of them, no work interruptions, no distractions. They both had been looking forward to it, but as the evening approached, Mi-Rae sat in penthouse, dressed in a simple yet elegant black dress, her makeup perfect, her hair styled just the way she liked it.

She glanced at her phone, waiting for a message from Jungkook that he was on his way, but instead, a call came through. Her heart sank the moment she saw his name flash on the screen.

"Hey, babe..." Jungkook's voice was hesitant, and she immediately knew something was wrong.

Mi-Rae's heart dropped. "Please don't tell me you're cancelling again."

There was a long pause on the other end of the line. "I'm so sorry, Babe. Something came up at the office. I have to handle it. My dad's pushing for this deal to be finalized, and I can't just leave it."

Mi-Rae's jaw clenched as she tried to keep her voice steady. "Jungkook, we've been planning this for weeks. You said tonight was just for us."

"I know, I know, and I hate that I'm doing this to you. But I'll make it up to you, I swear." His voice was filled with regret, but that didn't ease the sting of disappointment.

"How many times have I heard that, Kook?" Mi-Rae's voice wavered with hurt. "You're always making promises, but you never follow through. I'm tired of feeling like I'm second to everything else in your life."

There was silence for a moment before Jungkook sighed deeply. "Mi-Rae, I'm really sorry. I never want you to feel like that. I just—this business stuff—it's overwhelming. But please, don't be mad. I'll make it right."
