"Don't you think you're slightly overstepping your bounds as a Mother?" Asked Elaine calmly with an irritated expression as she looked at Maria, who was holding Elif's cheeks.

"Overstepping? You're both my children, and I shall do whatever I please with the two of you." Stated Maria overbearingly as she slightly frowned while glancing at Elaine, who stepped in-between her and Elif, removing her hands from his face.

"Brother is my Emperor, Mother; if you wish to hold someone's face, do it with Father." Remarked Elaine with narrowed eyes as she hugged Elif while looking at Maria, who sighed and rolled her eyes.

"Will you calm down, Elaine? If I had wanted my own son to myself, I would've done so long ago; he is yours, and no one is trying to take him away from you." Said Maria softly as she folded her arms and looked at Elaine before gesturing to Elif, who nodded in agreement.

"Yes, Mother is correct, Elaine, no one will ever take me away; how many times must I tell you you're the only woman I love?" Remarked Elif lightly with a wry expression as he looked at Elaine, gently stroking her head, causing her to pout slightly while gazing up into his mesmerizing purple eyes.

"Hmph, but don't you love Mother?" Asked Elaine with a pouting expression as she squinted at Elif, only for him to suddenly hit her head.

"She's my Mother, of course I love her, but the difference is, I love her as a Mother; I love you as a woman who will one day be a Mother to my children. There is a difference." Stated Elif with a shake of his head as he looked down at Elaine, rubbing her head with a calm expression before leaning down and gently kissing her, instantly healing.

"Hmm, I suppose that's fine." Muttered Elaine softly, her words causing Maria to sigh while Elif sported a wry expression.

'Haa, well, I can't be mad; I'm just happy the curse isn't any worse; on the night of your birthday, I could tell she had been looking at me in constant anger. I'm sure it wouldn't have taken much longer for her to start thinking of killing her own Mother.' Said Maria lightly via divine sense as she looked at Elaine in pity before glancing at Elif, who subtly nodded.

'I completely agree with you, Mother. However, I find Elaine to be quite lovely when she behaves like this; the way she gets so jealous of me from just a slight interaction between women is so adorable it just makes me want to spoil her.' Remarked Elif via divine sense with a faint smile as he stared down at Elaine, who was tightly hugging him, causing him to do the same while Maria just sighed and shook her head.

"Anyways, you two, let us leave; if we stay here for much longer, I'll be tempted to do something to the Phoenix Clan." Muttered Maria as she glanced at Elaine and Elif, who both nodded, prompting her to tap her foot, sending her Qi through the golden chariot, which allowed her to control it as if it were one of her limbs.

Feeling the chariot move, I turned and glanced at the volcano in the distance and watched as it slowly vanished far off into the distance, causing me to frown slightly, though only for a split second before I shook my head, forgetting all about it.

'I'll see that fool in the future; no need to fret over someone as insignificant as him.' Mused Elif lightly as he shifted his focus away from the Phoenix Clan, pushing it all to the back of his mind.

"Now that we're safe, I'll use this chance to cultivate since a lovely certain someone didn't let me do so last night." Stated Elif softly as he looked down at Elaine, who pouted, yet before she could do anything, he suddenly handed her over to Maria.

"I think Elaine wishes to hug you, Mother. Now, if you could excuse me, I've got to cultivate." Added Elif with a mischievous smirk as he forced Elaine to hug Maria, who gladly accepted the hug despite knowing he was merely using her as a distraction.
