Chapter 128 - The edge of the world

The three husbands were all silent as they busy themselves inside their minka. Theo quietly sits in the library while reading a book. Tarik is keeping himself busy as he cleans what he thinks needs to be cleaned inside the house. Dumu continues to pace back and forth in front of their house. He will sometimes stop and look at the front yard like he is waiting for somebody to appear but when no one does, he will continue his endless walk.

Zale is almost dozing off as he watch the three while sitting near Elder Najyba.

"Aaaahhhhhhhhh!" Tarik dejectedly slumps at the seat in front of Theo. He lays his head on the desk and looks at the lion beast who is weirdly turning the book he is reading in different angles. It made Tarik curious what he is doing with the book. "Why are you reading a book like that?"

"I am not reading. I am studying pictures."

Tarik curiously stood up and stands behind Theo. He looks at what Theo is looking at and his eyes went wide as saucers. He immediately leans forward as he looks closer.

"Where did you find that book? What book is that?"

"I was rearranging the books in alphabetical order because our wife likes it neatly organized when I saw this book. The name of the book starts with K but it is between R and T."

"Why are they mating in weird positions and poses? Turn the page. I want to see the next picture."

Theo flips the next page that made the two beast men look closer at the book. The two were turning their heads in different angles as they focused on what they are looking.

"Let me borrow that when you are done. I think I just found my favorite book in this library." Tarik leans closer to Theo and whispered, "hide that book from Dumu so we can study that book anytime we want. Do not put it back in this library."

The two looked at each other and nodded. They got busy looking at the next pages when a sudden spark was felt by the two that made their heart palpitate and their head ache. Theo and Tarik groan in pain as they try to clutch something invisible on their chests. They are panting like it's very hard to breathe. Tarik and Theo immediately went outside and found Dumu crouched on the ground. All of them looked at each other. They all look scared and nervous.

They don't need to speak for they are all thinking one and the same thing. They run away from their house as soon as they transformed into their beast forms that made the sleepy Zale wake up in an instant. He chases them as he yells.

"Oiiiiiii! You bastards! Get back here or I will be dead if the guild master knows that you three got away from me!"

The three outran the crocodile chief who pants as he slows down but still tries to chase them.

Something happened to Asha. Let us check the beach and see what happened.
