Chapter 102 - An opportunity (Part 3)*

"If I have to go to the north just to find my wife I will! No snow can stop me from killing that fox bastard!"

Dumu was about to slither away when Tarik held him to stop.

"Going out without any definite plan can waste all of our time and effort. I know you are worried for I am worried too! Will our wife just head out and run without a specific direction in mind if this happened to us? We should think like how our wife would plan everything before going out to look for her."

Onslo was watching the two arguing while he feeds Theo some herbal concoctions that he made to counter the poison left on his body. He already made him vomit the contents of his stomach by using his fingers to trigger his gag reflex.

"It will be useless if brother snake will go to the north. It will only trigger your brumation like sister said. You will fall to your deep sleep before you can even find her."

"Then what do you have in mind young owl? Since you always have something smart to say then SAY IT!! Use your ability to look for my wife!!"

All of them can feel the anger and anxiety Dumu is feeling. He is going mad that he can't think properly. He can't even control his nine-starred aura that he keeps releasing. They can even see how venomous his snake eyes are staring at them.

"He will not be able to help us track the fox nor the female. The fox beast has already initiated the mating ritual while he was here earlier. He is now her mate even if it is not complete yet. He will be able to erase and cover both their scent and aura for he is already a ten-starred fox beast. That is one reason why we failed to feel his aura. He has been watching us from the beginning, just waiting for the right moment to take action. He is the one who created the fire and spreading it through the forest with his wind manipulation...."

Dumu was surprised as he looked at Theo who leans sitting at the cave's entrance.

"Are you certain that bastard is already a ten-starred beast? It has not been half a cycle since me and Asha went to the fox village and he was a five-starred fox beast when we left."

Theo shakes his head.

"I heard everything and even felt his aura when he aimed it at the female. It was too powerful. The poison he used is also strong. I have never seen the female look that weak. She tried so hard to fight back, even stabbed herself thrice to not get paralyzed like me... I was so useless... I cannot protect her... I am sorry...."

"My wife will not be affected by the poison for too long. Her father trained her to be able to resist any type of poison, she told me about it when she got poisoned by my venom while I was fighting with the fox chief. It is impossible for her to be so weak just because of the poison you both drank. There should be another reason...."

The three males went silent as they ponder while staring at a depressed Theo who looks down at the ground in shame. Onslo strokes his back as he smiles sadly at him.

"Do you remember anything else? What sister said? I am certain she will provoke that fox chief to spill some information that will serve as clues for us."

Theo thinks hard as he recall everything that happened.

"When the female was directly hit with his aura release, she said she sensed something evil...," Theo's eyes widened as he looked at the three males. "She panicked after that. She said something about crystals. That she cannot believe that those crystals are also available here in our world...."

Onslo looks at Theo seriously, "did she say black crystals?"

Theo looks at Onslo surprised, "she did not but the fox beast mentioned it. The fox was even impressed at her for knowing that he used black crystals just by releasing his aura."
