Chapter 130 - The chosen ones *

Tarik, Theo and the others watch as another tall wave tries to swallow the whole island. Everybody can hear the vibrating hum the shield covering the whole island makes every time the tsunami is trying to hit them. Some females, cubs and males knelt down as they mumble thanks and praises to Asha.

"Let the beast god bless the guild master's benevolence...."

"If not for the shield the guild master has made to protect all of us, we all could have died. I thank the beast god for giving us such blessing like our guild master...."

"Help us find our guild master. We pray to the beast god and mother of all to keep her safe. Please bring her back to us...."

Tarik and Theo can hear all their prayers as they continue to kneel and pray to the gods for the safety of their wife. They both feel proud but sad at the same time for everyone appreciates what their wife has done but she wasn't there to hear their thanks to her. They are deeply worried for they still don't have news about Asha.

Zale walks near the two and pats both their shoulders.

"Thank you for warning all of us. It is good that we had enough time to have all crocodiles and dolphins stay here in the island. This is the first time this happened at the sea of Jonas. Everyone is safe thanks to the shield the guild master created."

"You and Dylan should accept master's offer to have all of you stay and live with us here in the island. She promised to create housing for all of you near the reservoir and the river near the capybaras if you agree."

Destan and Danube nod. The twins are standing close to them males while looking at the retreating tsunami.

"We would love to have the crocodiles and dolphins as neighbors. It would be fun to have more beasts lazily dipping in the river with us," Destan nudges Zale who smiles back at him.

"I will talk about it with Dylan. And I agree. We are always here in the island anyway so why not move, yes?"

"Just do not go stealing the wine like Tarik here. The guild master will have both of you tied and hung upside down on Elder Najyba's branches."

They laugh at Danube's remark. The three males are trying to make their guild master's husbands distracted. They can feel their worry, not that they don't worry as well. But they are her mates and are land beast men. They can't help find their wife like Dumu who can swim. They can imagine how deeply worried and frustrated the two are just being left and wait in the island.

"They are back!"

Zeev shouted as he points at Dumu, Dylan and the other crocodiles swimming towards the beach. All of them run towards them to meet. Tarik and Theo were ahead all of them. The two husbands slow down as they meet Dumu and the others. Theo is trying to look for his wife but he can't see her that made him worry. Tarik's smiling face turned to worry as well and looked at Dumu who was silent and indifferent.

"Where is master? Why is she not with you all?"

Dumu continues to walk and pass by them. Dylan stopped beside Tarik and Theo while all of them are looking at Dumu's retreating back.

"We failed to find the guild master. She and the hawk beast got thrown to the edge of the world."

Everyone that got to reach the beach heard what Dylan said. They all gasped with worry. The two husbands can hear all of them mumbling at each other. Tarik tries to hide his shaking hands as he clench them tight on his sides.

"What you say is true? How did this happen? What did you do? I need to check on my master. Boat. Yes. I need to get on a boat and go there...."

Tarik was about to go to the docks when he heard Dumu talk through thoughts.
