Chapter 147 - Vega the eagle beast man *

Vega has just finished planning and talking to one of the eagles that will help him spy over the sea of Varuna and this newly named sea of Jonas that's in the East. He has decided that he will be the one who's going to check this island that remains bright in the night. The two escorts of Huye won't even leave the two bird beast men alone. Vega was a bit suspicious why these escorts have to go with them. He's planning to talk to Shay before leaving when they all felt an aura explosion. No one was hurt even though the explosion they all felt was too strong like it came from a ten-starred beast.

"I will visit and check Varuna from time to time. I will head out first. Be safe."

The eagle beast man nods at Vega and left with one of the escort while the other followed him. He was trying to feel out this white tiger who doesn't look that friendly to him. He sighs as he walks back to the secret room when he see Shay coming out and is walking towards the path to the rooftop.

"Shay!"

He was confused why his friend doesn't even look back at him. He is certain that he was loud enough to call his name. He then heard a commotion from his back and saw someone running towards him. This beast man's breath is different and the aura he emits is frightening.

This must be the guest of His Grace that I heard other beast men were talking about. He looks like bad news. I better just stay away for I do not want to be roped in to any mess.

Vega hurriedly walked towards the rooftop to catch up to Shay but he was surprised when he reached the place just to see his friend already flying away.

"Oiiiiii! Shay!!!"

His friend doesn't even look back again and this just made Vega worry. He walks towards the edge of the stone castle's rooftop and watches his friend fly farther away.

"Why is he in a hurry? Is he so excited to see his female again? But it feels like he is trying to escape and get out from here. Did something happen back in the secret room with His Grace?"

"Asha! Where are you?"

Mamoru was looking around when he reached the rooftop. As he follows the trail of Asha's aura, he sees someone flying away. He then noticed two beast men loitering at the rooftop, looking at him. Mamoru points at Vega.

"Hey you! Have you seen a female with whoever that is flying away from here?"

Mamoru then points at where Shay flew away. Vega shakes his head no.

"No. That hawk is my friend and he works for His Grace. He is going to his post and carries no female with him."

Mamoru scrunches his brows in irritation.

"Are you sure he's not with someone? Especially a female? You're dead meat if I find out you're lying."

Vega shakes his head no again and steps back slowly, scared, "I am telling the truth. He flew away with no one."

The escort that is with Vega walks towards Mamoru, "you are His Grace's guest and is not allowed in this area. Please go back to your room provided by His Grace."

The escort arrogantly touched Mamoru's arm to pull him away but removed his hand as soon as his hand come into contact with his skin. All of them heard a scalding sound while the escort backs away, holding his now trembling hand.

"You dare touch me and tell me what to do? Die fuckface."

Vega was horrified when he saw with his own eyes how the white tiger disintegrated and turned to dust in a few seconds. His ashes were blown by the wind along with his wrap around skirt.
