Chapter 66 - Creating a guild

They have been travelling to the North with a pack of wolves in tow.

For the first few days, it was a bit awkward for all. The wolves aren't used to travelling very long distances except if they are out for hunting. But that would only usually take them five days at most before going back to their village.

They have been out for ten days now and they are starting to feel the fatigue and the exhaustion from travelling. Even if they rest during the night, their bodies are used to the settled life.

That is one reason why they are amazed with their alpha. Even though she's a female, she can easily live a life of a nomadic. Not even afraid of danger, their alpha ventures effortlessly the adventurous way of life. They have learned a lot about their new alpha within these past ten days.

The female is not afraid of fire. It was way more surprising for she even creates fire and she uses it to cook her food. They are all used to eating their prey raw so the method of cooking the meat before eating is simply new to them.

They gathered fruits and vegetables for their alpha is a bird female. They expected her to be a herbivore. But they were surprised to find out that she and her mate hunted together. They even compete with each other. First to kill their prey will have the other cleaning, skinning and slicing the meat.

When they saw their alpha use a bow and arrow for the first time, it made their admiration and respect for her grow a hundred fold. Never did they expect their alpha to have an ability and a heart of a warrior like them. They have all witnessed how she fought Barda. But she finds happiness from the thrill of hunting, like them wolves. That only convinced them more that they made the right choice to follow her. Their alpha female is truly unique.

And the cooked meat she makes is delicious. Never have they tasted flavors that can make their mouth salivate. Even the smell while the meat is being cooked surprised them. It only made their appetite bigger so that's the reason why they hunt more. They watched and learned from her what to do so they can also eat delicious food. The fear of fire gradually disappeared until they got used to it.

Tarik was always feared because he is a fire manipulator. Every beast who controls fire is believed to be cursed by the gods for they all know that fire can kill. But thanks to their alpha female, it opened their eyes to a whole new perspective and knowledge that they didn't even know was possible for them to grasp. That's one reason why Tarik's affection for her doubled. Never in his entire life would he feel accepted by other beasts that he is not a threat or a curse just because he is a fire manipulator.

They felt closer to her as days passed for she will give compliments if they deserve it, not to just sweet talk them but they can feel her sincerity from her words. They will also get reprimanded if they do wrong. But they don't take any offense from it, hence they'll remember it by heart and learn from those mistakes that she points out. She will explain to them clearly the reason why she disapproved of something. And they will be given time to reflect on it, for she said that she's not perfect. She can also make mistakes. That's why if there's anything they don't agree about, she's open to hearing it and discussing it with them. She said that everybody's equal. Everyone has the right to point out their views but make sure that it is discussed in a calm and respectful manner. She treats everyone equally fair, of course it's not applicable for her husband, most of the time.

Their alpha is also a keen observer. She knows what they like and dislike, what they are all fond of and what irks them. She even found out that some wolves have talent. She found out that Zeev has a talent in wood carving. She praised him for that and even told him that she will teach him about woodcrafts. He started making wooden bowls and other things that can be useful to them for their everyday living. In the future, he will be known as the father of carpentry, that is for them to know in the far future after he improves and masters his crafting skills.
