Chapter 144 - The new king

"Mister Eason..? Hey... wake up. The sun is already up. Mister Eason?"

"And what d'you want me to do? Photosynthesis? Shut up and leave."

Mamoru grumbles as he remove the beast pelt he have covering his head. He squints and irritatingly looks at the beast man who is standing at the door. He was given a modest room by Huye when they arrived at Byakko. He's staying here for now while planning what to do next. He already has an idea where Asha might be but the only problem is, how to get to the East. Not that he can just move to his right and make a beeline straight that he'll see Asha right away. He doesn't know how big the beast world is.

From what he have seen so far by going with this royal successor of this kingdom called Byakko, he knows that he is trapped in a prehistoric era. He can still see males and females not wearing anything at all and living like savage animals who eats their food raw and is afraid of fire. Not like he can't blend in for he loves being out in nature when he has nothing to do back in his world. And his Asha is used to camping and rock climbing for it's one of Jonas' hobbies that he get to share with her growing up.

They get to spend their time alone camping out in the woods where they can be alone for days, a week if they both get lucky and not get called for work. Skinny-dipping in a peaceful lake, making love under the stars, and just dilly dallying and having their own fun inside their tent or out on a picnic blanket. His Asha loves nature and he begins to love it as well. Her influence on him is so contagious, not that he don't like it. He's happy when she is happy, as simple as that.

"His Grace is inviting you for his succession as king. He will..."

"He is Not my king so I don't give a flying fuck what y'all do. Leave me alone. I'll kill anyone who interrupts my sleep again."

The beast man was scared from the tone of his voice and his glare that he ran away immediately as the beast pelt that covers the door flaps down. He stirs on the other side of the bed made of stacked hay covered with beast pelts. He's ready to go back to dreamland where he can be with his Asha one more time before he have a concrete plan how he's going to find her.

"Where have you been? I have been waiting for you Shay. You almost did not make it when Huye has been announced as the new king of Byakko."

Vega is whisper yelling at Shay as they walk towards the secret room for the meeting. He has been looking at Shay, observing him for there is something different with his friend since he saw him secretly blend in with the audience at the back during Huye's inauguration.

"At least I made it, yes?"

Shay said nonchalantly while inconspicuously looking around. He knew the moment he arrived at Byakko that there are eyes on him. But he has to look like he doesn't noticed and act how he normally does.

"I am dying to ask what happened to you during dead season. You know, with the female you said you want to look after. So... how did it go?"

Shay nods at Vega so he can whisper directly at his ear that he excitedly followed. He whispered so he can only hear.

"Do not tell anyone. I have a mate."

Vega's eyes widened as he tries to control his laugh. He slaps Shay at the back repeatedly from his excitement. He whisper yelled at him while giggling.

"Oh My God! Shay! You are not a virgin anymore! Hahaha! You are not pulling my leg, are you? There is a faint smell of a female on you! You lucky bastard! Where is she? Are you late because you brought her here? I want to see who is the female who knocked all your walls down hahahaha...."
