Tarik instantly covers his mouth when he realized what he just said. Asha felt Theo hug her tightly after hearing what Shay just told her.

"Can you please sit Shay. My neck is going stiff while looking up at you for too long while you're standing and you are so tall. Give me a moment while I try to process what you just said."

Asha massages her temples. Theo strokes her hair softly as he whispers in her ear.

"Are you okay?"

Asha nods as she leans her head on his shoulder while he continuously stroke her hair.

Shay sits cross-legged from where he was standing before and looks at Asha.

"I am sorry if I said it bluntly. I am used to telling facts without thinking of how others would react.

Honestly, I have witnessed everything you did in Baylor. How you helped save lots of innocent lives and not get caught with Barda's own greedy plans. I really thought Souta will get killed but thanks to you and your snake beast mate, you have saved the kingdom of herbivores.

I felt it, in my gut, that you will do great things in the future. And I was right. Creating a guild. Improving the lives of all the beast men following you. How you take care of all the beast men around you. It blew my mind. You are a good and responsible leader, a nurturing family head, a loving mate, a reliable friend and a scary enemy, I have to say that. Shay and Theo looked at each other.

"You are his younger brother. Am I correct? I am certain you have run some errands for him a lot of times, sending supposed to be gifts from your brother to King Wynn's son and the other way around."

"He did."

"Those are either bribes or payments. He has used the abandoned beasts a lot of times to do some odd jobs that will not get the kingdom connected in any way. The abandoned beasts will take all the blame for all the misdeeds, then here comes the kingdom of Byakko to rescue these poor innocent beasts from the evil ones. This is how Byakko turn things to their favor. The mastermind becomes the savior in the end. Are you not curious why abandoned beasts can still freely do whatever they want anywhere?"

"Huye backs them up in the shadows. Sad to say there are such beings anywhere I go. If my father is here, they're all deadmeat..." Asha mumbled but all the males heard her.

"Well I don't. Not because I heard you say that you like me and that you can help me, you think I'll easily accept you and say, thank you you're my hero," Asha rolls her eyes while saying the last in a sweet mocking way.
