Chapter 129 - The first contact

Dumu headed east and saw Dylan and some crocodiles are panicking. Dylan was yelling almost at everyone, deeply agitated and distressed.

"The rotating waters is blocking the entire edge chief Dylan. We have tried going through it but it is pushing us back. Like it is deliberately not letting anyone near the edge."

"Then try again! We need to find the guild master! No one leaves until we find her!"

"Where is my wife? What happened to her?"

Dylan and the crocodiles were surprised to hear Dumu. They got scared for they can feel him suppressing his frustration and his anger from how deep and guttural he speaks. They didn't even noticed Merrik behind him that's just observing the situation. He can see the scattered pieces of wood floating on the water.

It looks like something happened to the boats. Was my beautiful nymph with them when this happened?

"Dumu! Something horrible happened at sea when we are going home. Our boats got destroyed by tall waves and now these rotating waters came out of nowhere blocking the edge of the world. We are trying to...."

"WHERE IS MY WIFE!?!"

Dumu released his aura that made everyone scared. They can feel his anger, their body begins to tremble as they try to avoid his glare towards them.

"How will they be able to answer and explain if you keep releasing your aura at them? Your temper worsened when you got a mate. Excuse me dolphin chief? Where is the guild master?"

Dylan was trying to keep his composure when he looks at Dumu apologetically.

"I was trying to get her so I can take her back safely to the island but a huge wave separated us and she got swallowed by one of those rotating waters. The hawk beast dived to save her. He tried to fly away when he got her but another huge wave hit him hard, throwing the two of them off the edge of the world."

A crocodile beast man swam forward and looks at Dumu, "chief Dylan is telling the truth. We are trying our hardest to reach the edge but these abnormal rotating waters lined up on the edge itself like it is preventing us to swim near it."

"It is really weird when you think of what happened. It is like the waves are aiming for the guild master to be thrown off the edge. The tall waves disappeared as soon as it happened..," another crocodile beast man said.

Dumu swam forward and looked at the whirlpools that continues to circle violently. He tried swimming towards it but got repulsed far away. Merrik furrows his brows as he watch.

"This is the first time I have seen such behavior from the waters. It looks like it has a mind of its own. You say the waves stopped as soon as the guild master got thrown off the edge?"

The crocodiles and Dylan nod.

"And those rotating waters moved and lined up like that like it wants to block anything coming towards it."

Dumu held his hands out as he concentrates. All of them looked at him as they watch what he is trying to do. They can all see that he is trying to divide the waters in between two whirlpools. Dumu grits his teeth as he tries to manipulate the water that is now paving a gap in between but water begins to shoot toward his direction, hitting him hard that made him get pushed back.

"Dumu! What in the world is happening with the waters!?"

Dylan looks at Dumu and back at the whirlpools that continues to rotate like nothing happened. Dumu wipes the blood that came from his mouth when he coughs from the hard impact that just hit him. He backs away slowly while still looking at the whirlpools with a serious face.
