Chapter 77 - Going to the Island

"Husband, can you see that sand trail on our right? I think it is possible for land beasts to use that."

The couple's eyes are both shining brightly with the color of their respective auras. They're both still touching the ground and continuously dispersing their aura in small waves. Both their hair and clothes are gently getting tousled from the small vibrations their aura are creating.

"But it is still submerged under the sea. Even if it is only waist high for a male like me, if they go farther from the beach, I am not sure if they will not be swept away by the sea currents. They will all drown."

"It is possible, but during low tide. But we're not sure when will that happen and if it happens, for how long that sand trail will be passable. It will depend on the tides."

Everybody was listening to their conversation but they don't understand what they are discussing.

"What other options do we have wife?"

They both stopped and stood up as they both stare at the island.

"Hmmm... we can create a boat but it's a lot of hard work and it will take too long so I don't wanna do that. You can part the sea like Moses so we can all walk through the sea bed but it's going to be a long journey and will deplete your mana so pass again on that one...."

"Moses?"

Asha waves her hand at him to stop asking for she won't answer to explain to him anyway. She looks around and saw a hill at the end of the sandy beach, some meters away from them. There's a rocky cliff protruding and sharp rocks can be seen at the edgy part of the water.

"Orrrr... I can just create a bridge that connects this beach from that cliff to the island. Hmmm... I can just create a barrier covering the bridge so no one else can use it. It can be our secret pathway to the island. What d'you think?"

Asha smiles at Dumu as she tries to imagine what bridge she will create. Tarik and the wolves stand behind the couple, trying to understand what the two are discussing.

"Will that make you use a lot of mana? The distance from here to that island is huge."

"It's the easiest and safest way for all of us to cross this sea. We can't swim like you Dumu and we can't fly like Onslo. I just need to conceal it after we use it."

"Can we help you in some way female?"

Theo and the capybaras walked towards Asha's group.

"Your group will follow us to the island?"

One of the capybara twins steps forward too, "we are also migrating and if it is not a bother to your group female, we would like to follow you."

"What can you give us in return if my master allows you to follow? Are you forgetting that we already helped your group twice now?"

Tarik folds his arms as he looks at the group of capybaras. If this group will just be a burden to them, he'll keep the stinky rodents as reserve food for his master. The meat of capybaras are juicy and tasty enough. He smirks as he thought of another genius plan again. His master will be proud of him, he is certain.

"We are hard workers. You can command us to do any labor. If we all find the island beneficial, we can call our other groups and you can use us all to do any kind of work. We need a safe place to stay before dead season. Just give us food and shelter and we will do anything for you female."

Asha nods as she thinks. She will need a lot of helpers in preparation for winter. And they all look friendly and trusting enough. It wouldn't hurt to have them join them in the island.
