Asha laughed.

She knows how beast men are so superstitious that they tend to reason everything that they find baffling was their gods doing. She has seen it everywhere she has gone to. From the fox village to Baylor and even how these beasts tend to use their gods to be witnesses if they want to prove something that they are doing it honestly or promising what they intend to do in the future.

It's not even surprising because it also happens in her world where there are too many contrasting beliefs and religions that fight over each other to prove that the god they are devoted is the one who is righteous and is more convincing. All throughout history, there have been religious wars to dominate the other. Debate about religions are taboo in Any discussion. Nothing good would ever come out of it.

She isn't against it nor approves of it. If that religion or belief makes them a better person then let them be. As long as you don't bring someone down or do against their will, all is good. She respects their own beliefs but if you'll ask her, she doesn't care. As long as they respect her own beliefs, then you are good in her books. She's not religious anyways so why be a hypocrite about it.

Her four husbands are looking at her confused. She clears her throat and tries to stop herself from laughing.

"I'm sorry. I'm sorry I didn't mean to laugh. I know it was disrespectful, sorry. I know you guys have beliefs and have superstitions of your own and I respect that. It's just hard for me to believe what you are saying right now."

"You do not believe us wife?" Dumu asks.

"It's not that I don't believe you. It's just hard for me to accept mmm situations like this. To tell you frankly, I don't believe in gods or goddesses or whatsoever. Did I disappoint you?"

All of her husbands look at each other. This is the first time they don't tend to agree with what their wife just said. Asha sighs before looking at her husbands with a smile.

"Okay, look. I'm not saying that just because we have conflicting beliefs regarding this old proverb you were discussing that I hate you or I will abandon you. We are all entitled in our own beliefs. I respect that. But don't push those beliefs or superstitions to me because it's hard for me to accept it. Just because I'm a human and not from this world means that I'm automatically that descendant of the gods who will do what? Be the next goddess or save your world from what? The apocalypse? If you only knew what kind of apocalypse people in my world have speculated and believed...."

"But master, you have the breath of the Old Earth! No one, and I mean no beast man ever have the ability that you have, even for males."

"So? Being different doesn't mean that I fit the role, right?"

Dumu was hesitant to talk but he did anyway, "I had dreams about you coming. Even before we have met. Only the old witch doctor Edi knows about this."

The other three husbands were startled with what Dumu said.
