Chapter 97 - Onslo's secret *

Onslo was panting so hard as he flew immediately towards the mountain range.

The aura Asha released is an aura higher than a ten-starred beast. This caused Onslo's concealment spell on himself shatter. As soon as he felt his disguise slowly fading away, he immediately flew out and left all of the males who are still shocked and in awe as they watch Asha give a warning to the beast men watching her from the Abundant Plains and the mermen who were hiding underwater.

Onslo's young owl beast man disguise is fading and as he reached a very remote hiding place beyond one of the mountains in the island that is covered in thick snow, his true appearance was revealed. He looked like an adult owl beast in his late twenties. Two owl beast men got out running from a cave hidden at plain sight because of the whiteness covering the surroundings.

"Witch doctor! We felt the aura release of the princess. We were so worried they will find out who you are once your disguise disappeared."

"I am alright. But you two must leave immediately! She might have felt your auras even if you are hidden here. I will give you this green crystal I got from her before. Once the shield is created, even if you fly over to reach this island, you will not be able to pass through. Use that green crystal only for emergencies. Keep it well and do not let anyone have it. This is your only way to get pass the formations the princess created."

One of the owl beast handed Onslo three white crystals as big as golf balls.

"Take these witch doctor. You will need to replenish your mana to do the concealment spell again. Do you really have to stay here? We already know where the princess is. She is well protected by her mates, she can even protect herself. Why do you have to stay and disguise yourself? It is safer if you will leave and continue guarding the crystal of Gaia. Once Huye is crowned as king of Byakko at the end of dead season, he will send his secret escorts to find you. They are getting more persistent to know where the head witch doctor Solon is hiding in seclusion."

"The princess needs me to guide her. She only have us, the witch doctors under the secret command of the Chelonian, to help her remember and fulfill her duty as the descendant of our beast god and the mother of all. We have long waited for her return. We are lucky that the beast god Nabu allowed our generation to be the one to serve his daughter. It is the greatest honor to take this responsibility.

And we have not found Davorin yet. Once we find trails of those black crystals, we will know where he has been all these cycles. We can protect the princess and the crystal of Gaia more effectively. I have seen the marks of the dragon and the vermillion bird on her two mates. There are only two remaining. When the heirs of the Ancients gather together, the four blood moons will appear unlocking the memories hidden by Gaia. With the princess' loyal guards to protect her, she will have a higher chance to punish the betrayer's race and kill Davorin once and for all. This is the only way to keep the Old Earth safe."

"We are certain that the Chelonian will bestow you its mark as its next heir. You have been waiting for its mark and have been ready for more than a hundred cycle."

"But what will happen if they found out your identity witch doctor? Will the princess get angry at you for not revealing who you are sooner?"

Onslo shakes his head no.

"No one in their guild have any idea what a ten-starred beast man can do. I have hidden my aura and limit it to appear that I am only a four-starred beast to avoid suspicion. They do not even know that once a beast man have reached ten stars, you will stop aging physically. No one knows my true face, except the royalties of Byakko and the witch doctors. How can the oldest witch doctor look like a young adult? That is the reason why I have hidden well. The princess is just and kind, she will understand why I have hidden from her things once I explain everything to her. I did not lie, I just held some information from her. Do not worry about me and go before anyone finds out that I am here. That we have found the princess. Continue protecting the crystal of our mother Gaia."
