Chapter 73 - Theo, The abandoned lion *

"Theo?"

Asha looks at his injured body. He was covered in blood that has almost dried. She can see the bruises and scratches as well. She was about to share her mana to start healing him when Dumu pulled her away from Theo that made her startled.

"No! Let that bastard die! Have you forgotten what he and his group did to you?!"

Everyone looks at the couple and was shocked at what Dumu said. Even the wolves who heard it stopped what they were doing. Tarik looks at his master who is trying to pull her hand away from Dumu.

"You know who the beast man is?"

Dumu looks at Tarik while still holding Asha's wrist tight, "that lion beast is part of a group of abandoned beasts who are stealing and snatching females from small villages. His group is the one who tried to snatch Asha away to bring to their leader."

A commotion started with the wolves getting enraged with what they heard. Tarik even morphed his hand to claws immediately and walked towards Theo's unconscious body. The capybaras covered Theo to shield him from them.

"Please stop! If not for this beast man, we could have died already."

"Then die with this bastard who dared to harm my master!"

Tarik was about to swing his arm to attack when Asha summons a vine that immediately held his arm to stop him.

"Stop Tarik! And you Dumu, let me go. My wrist hurts."

Tarik looks at Asha and stopped. The vine that held him retreats and burrows back on the ground. He can see that the tight grip of Dumu on her is already bruising her wrist.

"Snake beast... my master's wrist. Let go."

Dumu was fuming in anger when he lets go of Asha. He can't understand why his wife is protecting a beast who almost abducted her. He didn't even notice the bruises on her wrist that he caused because of his anger. Asha held her wrist as she massages it gently.

"That bastard should be killed. We do not know if he is here to try to steal you away... again." He began to hiss while looking around, "we do not know if his group is around us and is waiting for the right moment to attack."

All of them became alert and tries to sense their surroundings except for Asha and Onslo who remained calm.

"No one is here except us. I do not see unfamiliar energy around. You do not need to worry sister. I will be on high alert and tell if there is danger."

Asha smiled and nodded at Onslo.

"Thanks. I also don't feel any danger lingering around. I will heal Theo, do not stop me."

The couple glared at each other. Everyone around them can feel the tension between the two mates. Asha moved towards Theo again and began healing him. Dumu went back to the savage giants' carcasses and continue what he was doing. Tarik felt bad for the snake beast but he will always be at his master's side. He will protect her even if her mate won't.

"Master, are you certain this is a good idea? What if the snake beast is right? Should you be helping someone who has malicious intent towards you?"

Asha continued healing Theo. The capybaras where in awe as they watch the female in front of them heal their hero. Never have they seen someone heal like how the female is healing the beast man. The more they watch, the more they are amazed.
