If someone asked me what love is,
I'd say it's him, the one who comes to mind.
The first to make me feel seen and cherished,
The first to make my heart truly unwind.
I miss him every single day,
There isn't a moment he doesn't cross my mind.
But my happiest self emerged after he left,
Not because my love for him declined,
But because his leaving taught me something profound—
To love myself more than I ever knew how.
My life is forever changed since he left,
But it's not a curse; It's a gift somehow.
For in his absence,I found my worth,
A second chance to live and grow.
My heart still carries the love we shared,
But now it also carries my own, aglow.
