I'm a hard person to deal with—
Loud, nosy, and quick to speak.
I'll say things when I'm angry
That might cut you deep, then regret them by the week.Yes, I'll piss you off, no doubt,
But I've learned something lately, too—
I've got more good than bad inside,
More love, more color, more life to offer you.I'm a handful, I won't deny,
But I'll nurture you, be the rock you need.
I'll hold your hand when you're scared,
And love you when you don't feel worthy to receive.I know I've got a lot of energy,
But it's mostly full of light.
I won't change myself to be loved—
I'm sorry if that doesn't sit right. If you can't love all of me,
And I can't love with my whole heart—
Then I'd rather not love at all,
Than tear myself apart.I love myself enough this time
To be selfish, to choose my worth—
So to the next who asks for my love,
Think twice about what it's worth.
