In heartbreak, I unearthed a truth—
Healing is not about forgetting,
But about learning to live without
The person who once felt like an irreplaceable part of me.
Healing is a dance with memories,
A gentle waltz through the echoes of laughter
And the whispered promises we shared.
It's not erasing their presence
But learning to find joy in the empty spaces they left behind.
In the quiet aftermath of loss,
I discovered peace in the beauty of release,
Like watching autumn leaves fall gracefully,
Each one a lesson, each one a moment of letting go.
The pain, once a storm, now a soft rain
Nourishing the ground of my soul.
You're never meant to completely forget—
How could you erase the stars that once lit your night?
They were a part of your sky,
A constellation in the map of your heart.
Their presence, though faded,
Is a whisper of what was, and what might still be.
As the journey shifts and paths diverge,
I find solace in the threads of our shared history,
In the way our hearts, though separated,
Wove a pattern of love that time can't fully unravel.
That heartbreak, raw and tender,
Brought me one step closer to discovering
The person who will fit into the spaces
Left by the ones who came before.
For in the release, there is growth,
And in every lesson learned, a step closer to love's true embrace.
